It sounds like your baby is fine....here is a link that you can compare the information to...There is a set average, if your pediatrician was concerned about the height & Weight they would have consulted with you .

Sounds normal, my son is almost 7 mo. 23lbs and 26 in long. Your baby is a bit bigger that normal, but as long as they are on a constant growth line it's ok. Next time your at the doctor as them to tell you what percentile your kid is in. My son is in the 90 to 95th percentile meaning 95% of babies is age are at or below is height, weight, etc. That will give you a better idea of how he compares to a so called "average" size baby.

He's big! My daughter just turned 7 months and is 26 and a half inches long and weighs 16 pounds. According to the doc she is in the 50th percentile. I would guess your son is maybe in the 90th.

Every baby grows at his/her own pace. What matters is that your baby is healthy. My daughter is 8 months and weighs 23 lbs and is 27.5 inches long. Very big for her age but she is healthy. There really is no determining how big or small your baby should be, but if you go www.babycenter.com and look up the growth percentile calculator, you can enter your baby's information and it will tell you at what percentile your baby falls in as compared to other babies his/her age.

Go to a local state funded health department. They can check height and weight of your little one and put it on a 'percentile' graph, which compares it to the height and weight of other little ones in your child's gender and age classes.
You may also be able to get this done at your child's pediatrician.

Your concern should not be where he falls on the chart in compairison to other babies, but that he is not crossing 2 percentile lines, like being born in the 90th percentile then falling into the 25th percentile.

Talk to your ped.
