Pregnancy & Parenting - 20 November 2006

I'm tired of people telling me my children are short. My children are , 9, 7 and twins that are almost 5. All four of them are slender and not of average height. My twins look like they are 3 1/2 and not almost 5. People ask how old they are and when I tell them they say "Wow they are short" Sometimes I will get "My son is 3 and he's taller than your kids!" No one in my family is tall- me, my husband, both sets of parents and and all grandparents are ALL under 5'6" So they are not going to be tall.
I know this one woman who always comments on their size. Sometimes I fell like saying "Yeah well your fat" Of course I would never insult anybody like that. Does anyone have any snappy comments to rude remarks? I don't want to insult anybody.

The twins had to go to a specialist to check their growth they are fine but may need HGH

does Illinois give special treatment to pregnant women who commit murder? I don't mean the meth users who can be charged with murder if their child dies or a woman who has killed her own children.... I mean a woman who is pregnant and goes into the streets and kills someone or who has killed their husband who was NOT abusing them in any way...

I went to the bathroom and I had 2 big globs of goo come out when I went pee and I just started bleeding 2 days ago and I do not know if it is a miscarriage but my stomach is hurting really bad and it is really heavy bleeding and I am having hot flashes and my back hurts really bad

My daughter is 4 1/2 months old..I breastfeed her. Is it ok to start giving her apple juicce sometimes as a snack or just for a change of pace? I have lots of books that say what is reccomended but im just curiouse to know when other breastfeeding mothers start givining thier babies other things as well as milk.

I know "with age comes responsibility", and adults are more responsible (usually) when it comes to having protected sex. I know that stuff. But if 2 people really loved each other, yet they were young (11-15)and had sex, would you think that was wrong or right? (let's say they used a condom)

fyi~ only reason I'm asking- I lost my virginity to a girl I hardly knew at 15, and I've gotten some judgemental remarks. What do YOU guys think of this issue?

The only thing she will put in anywhere near her mouth are Ritz crackers. If we try and trick her (Putting something good for her on the cracker) she won't even touch it. Even if we take off the offending healthy food, she won't eat it; she acts like it's covered in poison or something.

I know that it's our fault, because we've always let her eat crackers whenever she wanted them, but it's extremely frustrating. She can't live off that.

Does anyone have any solutions?

I'm scared that i might be throwing my life away. I know you must live with your choices, but what should i do about this? My boyfriend wants for me to have and abortion. my son is 7 he has been in preschool sence he was 3 then went to kindergarden last year and is repeating this year. he has a speech impediment and kind of slow at learning. he doesnt like to read but when he does he tries really hard gets mad and says i cant do it or i cant remember i have been wirking with him so hard and he is trying hard should i get him tested for dyslexia and how do i go about doing it do i talk to his teacher or doctor i dont want to look stupid for bringing it up if he dont have it but dont want to ignore the possibility of him getting started early if he does have it what should i do please help

i am 5 days late and have had mild cramping on and off for about a week now ( they are like dulll menstrual cramps- more annoying than anything) i thought i was getting my period when i first noticed it but of course no period- i thought that was strange because that has never happened to me in the past( the only time i get cramps is when i have already noticed my period) I also have frequent urination and constipation. Is this cramping normal and is it also normal to come and go??? or should it be more constant??

I know you will all say call your doc, but until i can get ahold of him i want some opinions. For the past few hours everytime I go to the restroom It feels like i am peeing and when i wipe its mucus, really watery, how can you tell the difference between normal pregnancy mucus, water leaking, or even urine when i walk around sometimes it drips onto my underwear causing about a quarter size spot, but when i feel it leaking while walking or sitting usually i get to the bathroom and its not in my underwear it just gets on the tolet paper. I am having sharp pains (not constant) in my stomach (not contractions) but I dont know if they are cause for concern or if its in my head.Not infection as i am on antibiotics already for UTI and i finish them tomorrow. What could this be?

Back in Feb. 06' i turned 18 and decided i didnt have to listen to my mom and i had some insurance money. i started talking to some guy in detroit on a 1-800 number and i decided to go meet him and when i got there i meet him at the busstation and went to his house. he was very abusive such as when he burned my finger or taking advantage of me. now i have a 18 day old baby and im afraid to tell the people that i remember who he is bc if i do i the court will make us have joint custody since i live two states away and im afraid he will beat on my baby or burn him i dont know what to do
