i took a course but whenever i ask my neighbors and mom's friends they say 'sure that would be great' but i never get around to doing it for money. help?

My suggestion would be to put up flyers at local grocery stores, tell you teachers at school, espeically those teachers who have K-3rd grade classes and call local moms groups. If you are interested in sitting for twins call the local twins clubs, they always have moms who are in need of help. Also, advertise yourself as a sitter/mother's helper. A lot of times I just needed someone to help with the kids while I did laundry or when I needed a little extra time to do chores. I had twins and I was always looking for an extra pair of hands.

well sometime in the area you are living you can find out if there is a web site you can put in your add and you tell them what you can do and when the time you are able to which should be anytime cause you will use you at the last min, if you get someone like this then you will be good.

Put up ads in your local grocery stores and elementary schools, or daycares. If you're really serious about it you can put an ad in the paper.

why not put a advert in your local newsagents explain that you have experince and your rates are reasonable...
