walking is good eat lightly and drink plenty of fluids and be patient i know its hard to but first babies labor can last any where from 10 hours or more. your almost there dont over do it your going to need your energy for labor and taking a nice warm not hot bath or shower depending on your doctors pref might help and even if not its nice and relaxing nipple stimulation is one, reaching orgasm might help it can cause your uterus to contract.

Since you're 38 weeks you're good to go. I worked on Labor and Delivery for 2 years.
Do squats til you can't do anymore (make sure to hold onto something that will support your weight)

Sex, just not too rough, but the semen breaks down the membranes of your amniotic sac so it could aid in the breakage of your water!

Walk, climb stairs...got any shopping that needs to be done?

You can try eating spicey foods or drinking caster oil (yuck)

I re-arranged my living room, by myself lol

Whatever you do, just don't make yourself too tired for when you do!

walk up and down stairs, and the halls and any where you can walk. walk for 30 min. at a time and then take an hour break. keep walking! sex works too...but walking is so much better. it might be hard for you to walk and find the energy to do it, but just keep thinking that every step you take brings you closer to the end!! and a baby!! even better!

id have to agree with most people sex is a helper, but its when the little tike is ready to comeout is the thing....... anything that makes you comfortable doing do it, light exercise might help, just not too much as u need your strength when it does decided to comeout, believe me..... i have 2 under 2

Deffinately sex, I forget what its called but there is a chemical in sperm that causes a reaction. : ) and might as well take advantage while you can, cause you wont be doing any grown up fun for a while.

my midwife said NEVER recommend castor oil to anyone because it can make the baby come out dangerously fast.

fresh pineapple juice and staying as mobile as possible really helped me.

don't rush. you child will come when s/he is ready.

I was 41 weeks when I was induced, so TRUST me, I know how you feel. You want your body back. I know. But sex, walking, rasberry tea... none of that stuff worked.

Only your child will know when it's time. good luck.
