I have a faint positive pg test, could i be?

Question

I have two faint positive pregnancy tests, i am 10 days late, whattya think?

I went to the doc and took a blood serum preg test and it was negative, i am having mentstrual symptoms now, FANFREAKINTASTIC HUH??
I'M SOOOO MAD!!!!!

Congratulations, a faint positive is still a positive. Urine test go by the HGC in the urine the stronger the hormone the stronger the result, during the first stage of early pregnancy it climbs quickly but because your levels are still low this is why you would only have a faint line the more pregnant you become the stronger the line will show. I think you are pregnant! Even if the urine test was faint, that still means it picked up on some on the pregnancy hormone that we ONLY have when we are pregnant. I believe the blood test is based off of numbers. I'm not sure if it detects the same hormone that the urine test does, but with the blood test the higher a certain number determines how far along you are in your pregnancy. If there is no number than there is no pregnancy. In my opinion, it sounds as if you are very early in your pregnancy. When they do the second blood test tomorrow and your number goes up than everything is normal and you are progressing as normal! I would say......CONGRATS!!! EDIT: 2 posts before me said that we do have that hormone in our system even if we are not pregnant. I didn't know that, so I was wrong with what I said above. But I would assume that the small amount is not detected on the pregnancy tests (urine or blood). So I would still believe you are pregnant!

That happened to me and I'm 20 weeks pregnant. I retested 3 days after my faint pregnancy test and the test was undoubtedly positive.

Congratulations to you! It's not likely that you have a false positive test because false negatives are more likely than false positives; especially if you have 2?

I think you should make an appointment with your OB or primary physician to find out for sure.

Usually any signs of positive mean you are pregnant. Take another test 1st thing in the morning. Your urine will have higher levels of the pregnancy hormone then.

two faints equal one positive, double check with a blood pregnancy test, its the most effective way to check your hormone levels, most free clinic will give you the test , b/c its blood there might be a small fee, good luck

Could be!! My first HPT was VERY faint - I now have a 10-month-old. Make a dr. appt, and take another HPT in a few days to be sure!!

if its showing positive even faintly you are probably pregnant, call your doctor planned parenthood, or your local health department and get a blood test done to confirm! good luck!
