How this works. Copy and paste the list and give a first name for each fictional person (if you are really bored, give a last name too).

1) Old Guy
2) Cowboy
3) Rude Guy
4) Truck Driver
5) Pilot

For example:

1) Old Guy- Walter
2) Cowboy- Dean
3) Rude Guy- Bartholemew
4) Truck Driver- Earl
5) Pilot- Thomas

i posted a question about what the name lea sounded like earlier. alot of ppl said it sounds like "lee-ah". anyways, i think the name lea pronounced "lee-ah" is cute. which sounds better with my first and last name? Jessica lea (pronounced as lee) Baglan
or Jessica Lea (pronounced as lee-ah) Baglan? or do they both sound alright?

My 2 year old had problems saying some words that start with ‘D.’ Instead of 'D' she says 'G.' The words she has trouble with are DOG, DUCK, DINGLE, DARK, DOCK, and DECK.

Like instead of DOG, it’s GOG, and instead of DUCK it’s GUCK. I can get her to say the 'D' sound before the word, but then she replaces it with a 'G' sound.

Like I will say, "D(uh) D(uh) DOGGIE" and she will repeat back "D(uh) D(uh) GOGGIE." (the D's being the D sound as in 'DUH' not 'DEE')

But she had no problem saying the 'D' sound in some other words, like DADDY, DOES, DANGER, DARING, DANCE, DUDE, DENT, DOCTOR, DEDUCTION and DYING.

It’s not a big deal, and I know she will grow out of it, but I am just curious.

What is the easiest way to wean her? If I don't breastfeed her she will cry non-stop to the point she starts choking, and I will not just let her cry to that point. And she will not drink from a bottle. Can anyone help me out?

I found out that I was pregnant a few days after accepting a new job offer. The pregnancy will not impact my performance in this job nor will I be unable to perform any of the duties.

I will be starting this job in a couple of weeks and I'm really thinking I should wait to tell until it is obvious and I can't hide it anymore.

I was thinking I would be honest and say "After accepting the offer, I learned I was pregnant within a couple of days. I knew it would not impact my performance and thought it was best to wait until my second trimester to discuss it with you."

I do know my legal rights. It's illegal to fire a woman simply for being pregnant...but a lot of companies find ways around that...

What do you think is the best thing to do?

I recently caught my 16 year old son without his shirt on and his girlfriend sleeping in the same bed. I let them go after being positive that they didn't do anything. Then I found my daughter taking off of her shirt for her older boyfriend and when I asked her why, she said that her brother's girlfriend does it for him. I was speechless and left it like that. What should I have done?

My daughter turned 3 two weeks ago. She's been doing fine without the bottle during the day since she was about 2. But when bedtime comes she has to have it. We've tried all kinds of stuff but nothing has worked. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Or should I just let her have it until SHE wants to give it up?

My fiance and I are getting married in 18 days, and we are trying to have a baby. When I reach around 4-5 months, we were planning on buying lots of supplies to stock up, like diapers, blankets, nuetral clothes (green, yellow and white--we want the baby's sex to be a surprise). A lot of people have told us that while getting blankets, clothes, pacifers, bottles, etc is ok, they have told us NOT to buy diapers ahead of time, while some people have told us "You can NEVER have too many diapers".
I've never had a baby of my own before (just my fiance's son, and we didn't have him full-time), and not all the people that have told me to buy or not to buy diapers have children, and I don't know who to listen to!
So I decided to get on here and ask, since there is such a diverse realm of people that answer questions.
So my question to moms is: Did you stock up on diapers before your baby was born? Is 4-5 months before the baby is born too early to buy diapers?

howdy
ok I was watching TV and saw a commercial for a disinfectant spray (LYSOL to be specific) and in the commercial the parent is concerned about the kid putting toys in their mouth that have ROTOVIRUS on them.. so the loving parent sprays the toy with the LYSOL (aerosol) spray.. and it struck me as odd that a parent would prefer their kid to injest chemicals but not natural viruses...
so my question to Doctors is - Which is more dangerous in the long run.. the virus or the chemical spray??
my question to Parents is - Would you not be more concerned about the kid injesting the chemical spray??
