To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

Ovulation occurs at different times for each woman. The 14th day is an estimate given in much of the literature on trying to conceive. One way you can track your ovulation is by monitoring your basal body temperature (BBT), cervical mucus & cervical position. This is known as the FAM method and is much less expensive than the ovulation predictor kits you can purchase at the pharmacy. For information on how to do this and a place to chart it check out www.webwomb.com . Good luck!

You need to read your body signs too, not just go by the dates. You are ovulating when you find mucus on your underwear or on your toilet paper after wiping. When you are not ovulating, you will be dry and cannot get pregnant at that time. Also, your hormones are elevated during the day, so it is best to have intercourse during the day if you are trying to get prego. While you are ovulating, have intercourse every day and even for a few days afterwards, just to be on the safe side. Check out the info below.

Everyone is different depending on your cycle length. Buy a ovulation test or go to something like www.babyzone.com and use the ovulation calander they have. Its not 100% right or anything but it can help. It goes by your first day of last period and how long your cycles are.

To better understand this go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and put in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating. It is a free and very helpful website to use.

Not everyone ovulates on the 14th day because not everyone has a 28 day cycle.
