i was told you have to wait two weeks after you last had sex before it will get a pos on a test

You have to wait 10-14 days after you ovulate. This is usually 14 days or so before your period is due. For the most accurate testing with HPTs, use a high sensitivity test (one which triggers at 25 mIU or less...see http://www.peeonastick.com to find out which tests are the most sensitive) and wait until the day your period is due to test.

They say 5 days before your missed period but everyone is different. Some people wont even test pos. until they are 12 weeks preg. It all depends on your body.

It may even take longer to get a positive it depends on how high your hormone levels are but someone should at least wait until they have missed their period to get the most accurate result.

I took mine last night, 2 days early, and I got a positive. I hadnt even flushed the toilet before it was positive.lol..but If you are going to test early you should test first thing in the morning.

Actually, it can be up to 4-6 weeks, depending on how fast your body produces the hgc hormone.
Some women never get them to read correctly at all.
Best bet=doctor,blood test

5 days before your missed period is the earliest but for it to be very accurate, you should wait a few day after your missed period.
