Anything that sounds like you're kid is just asking to be beat up on the playground like Liam, Oliver or Nolan.

Not Matthew, I love biblical names but that one's just so overused.

Not anything that sounds like her destiny is to become a pole dancer.......like Destiny!! Or Jasmine Or all of those kenisha alisha tenicia sounding names.......dreadful and so sick of them.

Nothing thats painfully obviously taken from tv or movies. For example any kid named Roman.......we all know Mom was a Days of Our Lives fan then right?

The best trick is to holler the name out the back door 50 times and see how it sounds after that!!! :) Good luck!

Any ghetto name (ie. Shaniqua, Shaquanda, etc)
Casey, Lacey, Macey, Tracy, Stacey, etc....EW.
Kandi, Barbie, Star, Trinity, etc. - no stripper names for my kids, thanks.
Ashley, Madison, Jessica, Michaela, etc - too common and annoying.
Paul = EWWWWWW...sounds like the sound an animal makes.
Garett, Wyatt, Earl....makes me want to cut myself with spurs from some cowboy boots.
Any old fashioned names like Margaret, Gertrude, John, Mary, etc.
Bus driver names (those that make me think of fat bus drivers) = Joyce, Donna, Karen, Tiffany, Nicole
Crappy "feeling" names like Faith, Grace, Hope, Joy, etc.
Miranda...lol...I just hate that name.
Katherine - too common and BORING.
Jane - obviously, PLAIN Jane.
Wow I could do this forever...lol...

One more...CHASTITY...lol. No one can come up with a grosser name than that.

Names that sound seriously nerdy like Magnus and Mervin. Names that are similar to common names but spelled and/ or pronounced in confusing ways. Bizarre names like Moon Unit.

Uncommon names are okay if they're part of your traditional heritage, but they need to be pronounceable.

I avoid common names....Connor, Logan, Isabella, Ian

They're all fine names but when you have a name like "Jennifer" you'll really empathise with these kids who will be sitting in a class with five other "Connors".

:)
