Pregnancy & Parenting - 16 November 2006

Well I am 11 weeks pregnant and over the last couple of weeks I noticed my breath kinda smells funny, especially in the morning its really horrible and embarassing. Could this possibly be caused by pregnancy or is there something wrong with me?

...I need to get my cats neutered - how long does it take for them to recover? And my son, who is devastated that I'm having the cats balls chopped off, wants to know if we can keep them in a jar. Will the vet let us take them home?


...I have been told I am a bad parent for even contemplating letting my son keep the cats balls in a jar? Am I a bad parent?

First off, you should know that I am going to be a scheduled c-section this time around, so my doctor doesn't really want me to go into labor. I know that having one contraction isn't that worrysome, but I am only 30 weeks. I had been kind of crampy all day, but nothing really bad. Then today I feel fine other than being fat. HA HA! So, when should I be concerned and has anyone else experienced this?

I have noticed in a lot of the questions asked in the pregnancy section that many people say that when you miscarry it is ALWAYS painful and a lot of bleeding, and niether one is true. if people haven't heard it from a doctor or other reliable medical source, why can't they say "in my experience" or "i have heard" because they could give a woman a false sence of security when she has already lost a baby. (which would hurt twice as much as loosing it in the first place.) not to mention make them think they DON'T need to see a doctor when they DO.

(this is more of a trying to a fact out there so women know than an actual question)

I am trying to get pregnant, and I am wondering if there is any weight to the skipping a few pills in the cycle and being intimate during that period of time. Would I be more fertile fresh off it or skipping a few?

The last 4 months or so I've been suffering from nausea. I'm still getting my periods although it used to last for 5 days but now only 2. I have been experiencing breast tenderness and although I haven't gained weight I seem to have gained a few inches around my abdomen. Over the last 4 months I've done pregnancy tests but all were negative. The last week or so I've been experiencing fluttering movements. Is it possible to be pregnant but not test pregnant at all?

We only see her on weekends, so even if we make her do it, her mom doesn't enforce it at home. Im afraid she might get some kind of infection. I dont know what to do to make her start using toilet paper. She won't flush either.

This may seem silly since I am a happily married woman who is 20 wks pregnant with #4 but I would like some advice on how to tell my parents. When I was pregnant with # 3, I told my mother over the phone and she was horrible-said "if I want to be white trash", "sometimes abortion isn't a bad thing",etc,etc. She finally came around and apologized but the hurt she caused me will never completely go away. This past summer she has been hounding me that she hopes I don't get pregnant again soon, etc so I expect her to be very negative again when I tell her. I just don't get why she is so concerned with how many kids/how close together I have them-we are not asking them to raise or pay for them. It's our family and we are very happy with it. So I could use some advice on how to tell them -I definitely won't do it over the phone this time, I could write them a letter , or tell them when I see them in early Dec. Thanks in advance. This is causing unnecessary stress.

ok, a few weeks ago my husband and I had sex and the condom broke, well then I was a few days late, but I started. and today I just started bleeding again and it has been about two weeks since my last period, I took a test when I was later and it said negative, it just doesnt seem right to me, to start again after only two weeks.Does somebody have any advice??

My son is 2 and I still don't know if I should have him circumsize...I honestly need a real honest answer from both Father and Mothers out there...I know its a "Personal" desiction but its so hard to make. My husband is uncircumsize and he hates it, my brother is also uncircumsize and say's he loves it. I just don't know.

I was with a client two weeks ago, and the condom broke... Now my period is late by more than a week... I am REALLY worried that I could be pregnant.

I'm not looking for answers going, "It's morally wrong!"

If I'm preggo, I'm getting that thing hoovered out of me because I can't afford being out of work for 9 months. Plus, I don't want some 60 year old failed CEOs baby.

This will be my second pregnancy and I had to be induced with the last one as well as with this one. They have already tried everything else. It hurt so bad last time with the pitocin and was wondering if I could request the epidural before the pitocin? Has anyone ever heard of this?

Ok well i'd like to thank everyone who answered my question and helped me confirm this. So now what do I do?? Our third child is expected in Jan. and we're not low income but formula is sooooo expensive now. Are all brands pretty much the same across the board, including store brandds? My other question is how far in advance can you buy formula? If I start buying now and the baby has an allergy to milk can I exchange it for soy?

Ok I was supposed to start my period a week ago and I never did and i still havent started. yesterday morning I took a home pregnancy test and it came out positive. My body feels very tired and sore and I'm sooo sleepy, but I feel like that sometimes before I start my period. could my period just be late and the test came out wrong or could I be pregnant forreal? I really don't understand, i see 13,14,15 yearolds here, talking about how they might be pregnant! Im 17 and I have to admit I've always been mature for my age, also mature enough to know, that if I have sex, the moments of pleasure aren't worth the times of nervousness im bound to have, wondering if im pregnant or not. Sex should be for MATURE people, who can face both the pleasure AND the consequences! It really worries me that this is what are world is coming to, its sort of like taking a step behind.

I know Im going to reamain a virgin, until I decide Im ready. It doesn't mean i have to wait until marriage, just until I consider myself mature enough, and fankly I think thats what all these other girls should do...

I also need help with her staying dry at night. I cut off her drinks at 7:00 and she is in bed by 9:00, but still wakes up with a Fully loaded pee diaper. She is in Panties all during the day and does fine.
