while the baby is within the mothers womb it is protected by the mom's immunity services...when the child is born its immunity system is now on its own and has had no experience on how to do this job of fighting the many diseases this world has to offer.
vaccination's are here to allow the baby's system to learn to attack on its own and protect itself

Babies do not NEED to be immunized.

The reason why babies ARE immunized is for the pharmaceutical companies to make money. Immunizations are have played a part in a healthy society in the past, but have become unnecessary. The dogmatic doctors will tell you that they are necessary to have a healthy child, but the truth is that all illnesses that kids are immunized against are TREATABLE with other medications that are LESS HARMFUL then the immunization shot the baby received to protect them from the disease in the first place. Not to mention all the preservative chemicals added to the immunization are quite harmful and may cause autism or other developmental issues and in some cases, death. In addition, just because you receive an immunization, does not protect you from the disease.

My husband and I decided not to vaccinate our child and did quite a bit of research on the subject. He is 2 and has only been sick ONCE in his life and that was last week! He is exposed to other children at play groups and the playground as well as his cousins (one vaccinated, and two unvaccinated) and he is just fine. As for the people who think I am irresponsible, their opinions do not matter to me.

Because their immune systems aren't developed and will have a hard time fighting off the more serious viruses they can catch if they aren't immunized.

the theory that children can get autism from vaccines has been totally and completely disproven! children don't "become" autistic from vaccines. (so don't even consider that as a reason why you wouldn't vaccinate) vaccines are important to prevent against disseases that could be very harmful to children. the reason thousands of people don't die from TB or other diseases nowadays is because of being immunized from them. please talk with your pediatrician about the pros and cons of vaccines if you are truly concerned. also important, some private schools won't allow children who are unvaccinated into their schools.

So they don't catch all the nasty little bugs out there, that the US has done away with with vaccinations, but a lot of the countries people who come here don't have immunizations, & spread TB & whooping cough & even nastier things around!

They're immune systems are not advanced like ours so they need to be protected against alot of things. Such as measles, mumps, hepatitis B amongst other things.

babies are very vulnerable to catching diseases and illnesses because their immune system is not fully developed. so it is important to immunize them so that they dont catch anything serious.

THEY DON'T!!!!!

Do your research. Vaccines are deadly.
Newborns especially, as previous posters said, have immature immune systems, which actually makes vaccines more deadly.
If you choose to, wait until at least 2yo.

Because vaccines make money, and the more babies they can shoot up with crap the more money the vaccine companies make.
