Hi There, well here's my story i am 18 years old i had my last period on 11th September 2006. I took a pregnancy test on Monday 2nd October which showed up negative.
i then took another one Thursday the 12th 4 days after my period was due and it was positive.
I attended the early pregnancy unit as i was having light period like pains but NO bleeding they carried out an internal vaginal scan they found a sac and a baby but no heart beat. The doctor has asked me to go back in 10 days for another scan..Does anyone have any suggestions on how far gone i am or why they did not find a heart beat for the baby ?? Help would be very much appreciated. Thank you...x

Why is it that we as a society put more effort into training people to drive cars than we do into teaching parents how to parent? I know we have voluntary classes, but nothing manditory. Cars are deadly - but parents can be too, when they are abusive or neglegent. So what are we? Are we too full of pride to believe that some extra learning to understand what goes into being a decent parent could be a good thing? What do you think?

Would you consider diapering for a long road trip? If so, how would you explain it to the kids (They aren't teens yet). It helps save on time, and all the extra stops that would have to be made?

Does anybody remember this from the past. 1970's and before people may remember stuff like this.

My son is 6 and any time I ask him to do something, like a simple task of picking up things off his bedroom floor, he has begun crying and being stubborn. I don't know what to do! It's frusterating, because this has really only begun in the last 3 months, and in other areas, he seems to be becoming increasingly stubborn as well and not listening. Normally he's a really mild mannered kid, and I try to give leeway, because we just moved to a new state, and life has been very changing for him... but I am running out of patience a little and would like some advice.

I have tried time outs and all the more liberal approaches. I think it's time to get creative.

i am definitely not constipated, but yet my stomach looks very much bloated! from a side view i look pregnant! i had sex while ovulating, but i used a condom, so i don't think thats a problem! i've been going to bed extra early, my breasts have a mild tingling feeling every now and then... i cry easily and i also have a very mild head ache every now and then... my period is due on the 19th. i usually get pms... but only a few days before i'm due. i've been feeling these symptoms way too early... what is going on?

Another question for all mummies to be. Im only 3 months but look around six, with a fair bit of bloating. Standing at a bus stop the other day an old couple got chatting to me. I mentioned I was pregnant the old man lurched at me, hand out trying to feel my stomach. This is the first time this has happened and I felt physically sick and wanted to slap him. My 2-months old boy has a mouth thrush. We did 10 days treatment with Nystatin, but the white patches are still there! My nipples are bright pink too, which is a sign they are infected.
How did you get rid of it?

I talk to my baby all the time. and i wonder if it can really hear me. I am 6 months pregnant. And then the other day i went out and bought some lulliaby cd's. And some baby einstien cd's. and i put it in a cd play and put the head fones to my belly. and my baby just kept kicking away. And everytime i do this it kicks like crazy. Does it really hear the music? I was joking with my husband and told him it was dancing.

My first 2 sons were full term and my third son was born at 34 weeks. The doctors couldnt figure out why I went into labor with him early, but I did. Everything turned out great and he was extremely healthy and we went home within a couple of days, but now Im pregnant with my 4th baby. I have read that if you have one premature baby , that you have a 40% chance of having another. I am probably just worrying for nothing, but I cant help it. I keep thinking I could possibly go into labor even earlier. How many of you have had more than one premature baby?

I am 12 weeks pregnant and can't stop looking at other peoples babies. i was out today and saw the most adorable little girl, around 6 months, gurgling and smiling and screeching with delight at her mum, who was pulling silly faces at her. I got chatting to her grandma and commented on what a happy baby she seemed to be. She was saying that she has been like that from the moment she was born, and that its not something they are born with, its how the parent responds and acts around them, and how the atmosphere is at home that makes them contented and happy babies. I have been pondering this 'nature v nurture' idea all afternoon. What do u out there think?

I be at home with my son all day every day. I just want to some opinions about this, because people tell me that he needs to be in day care. I love the name Dakota. Think it goes very well with my other daughter Shayne. BUT I'd like to use the name Milana because that's the grandma's names together (millie and lana). I just don't think it sounds right together. What do you think? Any suggestions on how to make this work?
