Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 November 2006

I'm not to sure what it is, maybe the migrane, the flu, the fact the has distroyed everything and broken just about everything or the stress of being a single parent while me hubby is deployed. NOT TO SURE!!!
About 30 minutes ago, she went into the kitchen and threw the dog watter and food everywhere, this was after a day of screaming at her lungs for not getting her way and just being a pain in my ***. Anyway. After she did this. I went off in a rage and grabbed her by her arm and smacked her hard on her butt. But as I was going to smack her again I stopped and she was screaming at the top of her lungs I put her in her crib and she laid there crying.
I am sitting on my couch crying my heart out and trying to figure out why did I snap. I swore I was never going to a raise a hand to my child, I have popped her on the hand before but that was about it.
She is sitting in her room right now laughing and playing and I'm still on the couch I want to hug her and tell her I'm sorry

I am wondering if a mother wants to raise her baby to be Vegan, can she breast feed him/her? Is human milk considered to be an animal product the way that cow milk and eggs are? Would this mother have to feed the child formula? Is baby forumla Vegan in itself?

You know when your child is around 2 to 5 years old and they say the funniest of things, what can you remember yours saying?

My son was two and a half and my daughter was just a few months old. She was propped up on the settee and he was sat next to her. I had to get something from the kitchen and told my son to put his hand on his sister and watch her carefully.
Within seconds he ran out into the kitchen and screamed 'Mum, Amy is melting!' I totally freaked out, ran into the living room and he showed me the corner of her mouth where a little bit of dribble was coming from!

Last week, me and my girlfriend had sex on Wednesday. She thought she missed her period but she ended up having it either last night (Friday) or sometime this morning (Saturday). According to what I know, if a girl has her period, she isn't pregnant. But some of my friends are saying that theres a chance the sperm hasnt reached the egg yet and we have to wait and see if she misses her NEXT period to really know. I need to know some answers, is there a chance or not?

So I've narrowed it down to a few.. We're expecting our third baby this January, our first girl. Which name(s) do you like best? We're not set on the middle names, so don't judge by that, just by the first name. Suggestions on middle names? Rose is my grandmother and MIL's name and Mary is also a family name and my middle name but I think Marie sounds better with these names.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant with twins and I have a sinus infection. I work part time 20-24 hours a week but the last few days I've been so tired I can barely cope. I feel bad not going to work but my ob dr said that it's very important that I don't over do myself. I was just wandering is it normal to be this exhausted or is it the sinus infection making things worse? I'm on antibiodics for the infection and they seem to be working but are they what's making me so tired? Money is tight and missing work is putting my job in jeopardy but I just can't get the energy to go to work even for a few hours. Just wandering if this is normal or should I be concerned that there may be something more wrong?

I had my period 9-10-06 and it lasted for only one day and it was very light. I took a pregnancy test last week early in the morning and it came out positive. Then later that night i took another test and it came negative. I went to the dr. yesterday and did a blood test and the came negative. i have had the symptoms. could i still be pregnant?

My ex & I have a 22 mo. old. He's dating a woman (for 5 months) who has 5 kids, 19, 16, 14, 10, 2 1/2. My ex & I get along pretty well, we feel it's what is best for our child. We are partners child rearing. No bad feelings. We discussed introducing girl/boyfriends to our child (& other things) . I'm of the opinion we should wait, he siad we could "cross that bridge when we come to it." Turns out he has crossed that bridge and his girlfriend spends time with him and our child. I'm angry because he lied (again). But what is done is done, I've asked to him to try to be honest and keep me informed. He wants me to meet her, to "ease my mind". Frankly I don't need my mind eased. She introduced him to her kids right away. That's fine if that's her choice as a parent, I'm of another opinion but don't believe either of us are wrong. I trust my ex to take care of our child and keep him safe, so I don't feel like I need to "check her out."
What do you think? Should I meet her?

I'm 21 weeks pregnant, I went to labor and delivery over the weekend with the stomach bug, they checked my urine and said I might have an infection, they did a culture and it came back negative and sent me home, my question is what could have caused my urine to show positive for infection but culture to be negative, Thanks

I will call and as my regular OB Monday just wondering if this has happened to you guys before
