absolutely. it could be due to stress, poor nutrition, horomones (especially if you only recently started to menstruate) or more serious problems. you should call your doctor if you miss more than one.

Yes, it happens to a lot of women. U could miss ur period from stress, weight loss or gain, illness or just having an irregular cycle. The first sign of pregnancy is a missed period, but if u were indeed pregnant then a test would show a positive result at this point.

Stress can cause you to miss your period. I didn't even get my period for 3 or 4 months before I got pregnant with my daughter.

Yep, it happens all the time, especially to younger woman (under 20) and older woman (right before menopause). Your period is regulated by hormones, and since hormones change, so can your period. Many women do not consistantly get their period, and some skip theirs altogether. This can either be due to hormone changes, or to outside reasons like stress, a change in sleeping patterns or eating habits, and even illness. It is not abnormal to miss a period every once in a while, if it happens consistantly, check with your doctor about what you can do to regulate your cycle.

That is very possible b/c your hormones changes and there are things that can change your cycle like stress, starving yourself, hormones, the pill or shot...
I remember when I first started my period i got it for 2 months then it just disappeared for 3 months. I was a virgin so I wasn't pregnant or taking any pills or shots so it does happen.

yeah, especially if youre younger and youre not on a regular cycle. especially if youre not on birth control because you dont have something regulating it, hanging out with other girls can even have an affect on the time your period comes. if youre stressed you could miss it...there are lots of things. when i was younger, i think my sophomore year in highschool, i missed my period for 3 months. its just going to happen unless you regulate it with birth control or until you get older.

Why do chicks go to YA for help on periods and pregnancy? Has it occurred to you that a medical or health question should be answered by your doctor? I mean, really, even dumb *** dudes like me know more about this stuff than the women. Do you not know enough about the subject that you air it out on YA?

Yes it is, I dont have many reasons to tell you, but you dont have to be pregnant to have your period a bit late... it is common, but you have nothing to worry about, but if its really really late you might want to go check out a docter
