We had sex when I was 34 weeks and it put me into pre-term labour. It stopped and I delivered at 37W5D, so maybe try sex. Good luck

Wait! The last two weeks in utero are the most dangerous to be born premature. It has to do with lung development, and it is crucial they stay there now until they are ready to come out.
With my first (I was induced at 42 weeks), I tried everything to bring on labour...castor oil (which did nothing except make me sick), sex, walking, and heaps of other stuff I had heard, and nothing worked.
The only thing that happened was my doctor got a good laugh out of it.
Your baby will come when it is ready, or it will be induced if overdue. There is nothing for it but to wait. I know how hard that is, when you are sick of not being able to see your shoes, that walking has turned to waddling, that sleep is next to non existent because you can't get comfortable....and more than anything you want to meet that child

37 week infants have a harder time breastfeeding, it is worth waiting!
You won't hear anything new on here, things like sex, nipple stimulation, cohosh, and castor oil.
Do not do the castor oil, despite what people may tell you, anything that gives you diarhea can give your baby diahrea, and you don't want to go into labour dehydrated!.

Sex (semen has prostaglandins which is supposed to help "ripen" your cervix). Also nipple stimulation which causes oxytocin to release, that is the hormone that makes your uterus contract. I have also heard of taking castor oil but that one sounds nasty, the way it works is it's supposed to give you diarrhea and that's supposed to start your labor.
Anyway 37 weeks is one month too soon, hope you are just researching in case you go past your due date.

I induced myself at 37 weeks too and my son was born just find and breast feed well, too well, lol
I used my Avent manual breast pump, pumped each breast for 5-10 mintues for three days straight and wham-o!....Instant contractions!, and it went fast too, started at 9am and my son was born at 230pm. And yes this was my first, no cuts no tears, good luck, also if that doesnt work, a good foot rub does the trick too, good luck

having sex is one of the best ways, because the prostaglandins in sperm cause the release of oxytocin from the brain which in turn causes contractions. So have at it!
