A divorced mother who is angry with her 11 year old son tells him " people can tell your bad inside" Is this a terrible thing to say, or just an effective way to make him behave? Later she said she meant that if your not nice to mother people can see your bad inside. Would this make someone feel bad about themselves as an adult?

What really affects breast milk? I went to one breastfeeding class and the teacher told us caffein (to certain piont, you can have cup of tea or coffee a day), other then that almost nothing. But I still know a lot of people who belive that everything goes into a breastmilk so you have to watch really closely what you eat (like nothing spicy, what makes you bloated)..... Does anyone really know? And how about other things - alcohol, drugs, medications, smoking....?? I also heard that drinking like one beer a day makes you produce more milk...??

My doctor hasn't discussed any signs of pre term labor or even talked about pre term labor with me yet. Nor has she talked about where to call or what to do in case I go into labor in case its after office hours. I know if I need to I can go to the ER so im not asking you people to tell me that im just curious about when your doctors discussed these situations with you. Around how many weeks were you?

I've always been told that if a baby is on liquid formula not to switch to powder b/c their bellies have a hard time handling it. It is the same for babies on powder? My baby is exclusively on powder formula, but I was given 5 large cans of liquid. Is is okay to give it to him or will it tear up his tummy?

My son is 2 1/2. My father-in-law has decided that he needs to be in pull-ups. Although I know for a fact that my father-in-law has never partaken in potty training any of his children! I am not against working with my son on potty training, however, I believe that until he feels the urge and knows what it is this is only practice for him. On weekends when were home he's been using his underwear. I would think that pull-ups feel to much like a diaper for him to understand the difference. I am wanting to know if these are really just another marketing gimmick or if they do work in the potty training process. I am not against using them if they work I just want to know if they are anymore effective than what I am already doing? I appriciate any advice. Thanks

When i was 15 i had an abortion due to circumstances i was still at school had no money and the father of the child didn't work.

As the years have gone by ive often though of what he or she would have looked like. In my eyes now i class it as murder and i often think that i regret doing it. Now me and my partner of 5 years are trying for a baby and it's been 6 months and nothing's happended. Would this be because i dont deserve a baby after what i did? Any body wanting or thinking about an abortion think deep and make the best decision as you may regret it.

I want a baby so much with my new partner so i hope i will be given a 2nd chance.

I got a negative this morning, and I have the feelings of being pregnant (enlarged breasts, fatigue, etc.) I, however, am also on progesterone because I have had two miscarriages previously. I really want to be pregnant by my period isn't due until 11/7/06. The package for first response says you can test 4 days before missed period... any help would be appreciated!

My sister just had a baby and I am trying to find the chain that some women have to attach the dummy to the child's top so that it doesn't fall to the ground. Anyone have any idea where I can get one? Thanks

I read when I was a child (13-15 years ago) about a brother and a sisiter in the middle ages. It might have had the word clocktower in the title or it was based around a clocktower. Not sure whitch. Also, I remember the younger brother witnesses his sister get raped. Any idea of the name of the book???

What is the best way to explain to my 7 year old daughter that the kids she is playing with at school are not the best kids to be with?

Let me explain the story.
She came home yesterday saying she got into trouble on the play ground. I spoke with the teacher this morning and found out that the kids she plays with every day that she thinks are her best friends are some of the biggest trouble makers in the school. My daughter has lost some of the play ground priviledges because of these kids. She thinks that it was all right to be with them and doing what they were doing. I need some ideas on how to talk to her about these kids not being the friends that she thinks they are.

Some one please help, I don't know how to talk to her about it without breaking her heart and also I don't want her to take what I say back to these children.

My son hits and it's play hitting, but I have a 7 month old who is getting the raw end of the stick even when she is in her playpen. When he hits I put him in time out, I refuses to hit, because I was abused when I was growing up and I know I would let my anger control me. I keep on putting him in time out and he keeps on hitting and taking her toys, what do I do? I told him that she has baby toys and that he has big boy toys. It still doesn't work. I pulling my hair out from all of the crying my daughter does, what should I do?
