You mean can the baby ride in his car seat in the front seat of a pick up? Yes, this is the only occasion where a car seat is allowed in the front of a vehicle. The truck doesn't have an extended cab, so where else would you put the baby? :) Just make sure to disable the passenger side airbag (if the truck has one) before you put the baby in the truck. The same rules also apply for forward-facing and rear-facing car seats.

Sounds a little dangerous. What I can suggest is take your baby seat and the pickup truck to the police station (without the baby) and have them check it out for you. In some cities, this is a free service and at times the cops will install the seat for you and give you instructions to properly putting your child in the seat. Good Luck.

I believe that if you have no back seat and no side air bags(or disabled) and put the child in the passenger seat area that you would not get a ticket. But you might check with local authorities on it as there could be some local regulation that I dont know about.
