Well im 13 and i take my education VERY seriously, I i would fail I would die-i would probably kill myself- but yeah some kids in my class dont even care about their grades. That annoys me, so much. I dont know why either but yeah i care. Also it annoys me when I got a B and know I should have got an A. Some one said that probably not because have you scene the spelling- well people do that now because of IMing, also it's a little easier to write like that.On my report card I got all A's and one B. I also just found out my reading level and its 13.8( thats higher than college) and Im in 8th grade- my reading was always high though, in 3rd grade I was already reading middle school books.

im a teen and yes i do take education seriously! I didn't take it as serious last year! I used to think more about being "cool" with my friends or stuff like that! But now since im in high school, i know that my grades are really important if i want to go to a good college! I would like to go to med school so i'm trying to work hard for that!

I am a teenager and I take my education seriously. I understand that you need extremely good grades to get into prestigious universities (or music schools in my case)

I am speaking as a teenager. I take my education serious enough but I know that I don't focus enough on getting better grades. I pass everything but I know that if I tried harder I'd get better grades. There are a lot of distractions at school that teens get involved in like boyfriends, drama with friends, and stuff like that, but it should never affect their education.

I think most teenagers are apathetic towards education because they are living for the "now". So few look at the realistic view of the path that is necessary to accomplish their dreams. With so many distractions among us, it is easy to lose sight of the big picture as a teenager (most lack maturity).

I think it depends on the teenager. All children are different. Some believe they will breeze through life while others know it is important to have an education and apply themselves in all they do.

It depends on the person, but I think that most teens do, because they know that they need to get into college in order to have a good future. If they don't care, then either the school or the parents are probably to blame.

I didn't. I'm smart, but I was bored at school. Some people do though. The smart kids that can cruise through and know the value of good grades care, as do the ones whose parents act as if they won't love them anymore if they get bad grades.

Some do, some don't. It just depends on the teen. I know plenty of people that don't mind failing, and others get freaked out when they end up with an A-.

Mine do. My 12 yr old is inquiring about different types of scholarships and such...she got her report card last night...7 A's and 2 B's. Got accepted in an advanced class for reading / writing and is totally stoked!
