my baby is 3 months old and has slept with me since she was born. she still wakes up around 1am and 5am . well, when she goes to spend the night at her grandmas, she sleeps the whole night through! 9-6! her grandma said maybe its b/c she sleeps by herself when shes there, so i tried putting her in her crib by herself, and she still would wake up in the middle of the night....anyways i didnt know she was doing this but she also said she puts her on her stomach....i put her on her back usually but tried putting her on stomach by herself last night and it worked! she slept 9-6? yes i already know your not supposed to b/c of sids but do babies really prefer sleeping on their stomachs? do you put yours on their stomach or back?

She previously slept through the entire night, but at around 9 months she started waking up again. I've tried feeding her extra at night to keep her full, but that hasn't helped. I've also tried putting her asleep later and even earlier, but that also hasn't helped. It seems like once she wakes up, she has problems getting comfortable again. She will roll and scoot around for about 10 minutes before finally crying out for me. If anyone has any suggestions .. please let me know!

Our daughter has been sleeping through the night consistently since 5 months. Except for the occasional cold or teething, she has been a little champ. But for the past week or so, she's been waking up every one to two hours and simply screams. We let her cry it out most of the time, but when she wakes up during the 1 am hour, she will just cry and cry. Last night she cried for half and hour till I finally couldn't stand it anymore and went it to check on her. She is teething, but the Tylenol had been working fine, so I don't really think it's teething. She has the slightest of a runny nose, but the mucus is clear and she doesn't have a fever, so I think I can rule out that she is sick. She's also extra grumpy during the day.
Help please! What could be wrong? I know she's not hungry as she refuses the bottle and her eating habits have been "normal." I say "normal" because they are normal for her.

AHHHHHHHH who is sick of the same questions over and over??? Here is some general knowledge...
IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT BE PREGNANT TAKE A TEST! OR READ A BOOK OR TWO BEFORE HAVING SEX, SO YOU WILL HAVE SOME IDEA OF HOW IT ALL WORKS.

had cramping like period pains for about a week now, went to doc thinking I had an infection and when he examined me he said the pain was comming from the babies head coming down opening my pelvic bones, he wasn't to worried about baby getting ready but kept saying he cant force me to stay off my feet but labor hasn't started "YET"(he said that more than once.) and gave me tests to see if i will be delivering within the next two weeks and an ultra sound to see if I am dialating. im only 30 weeks I dont know if this is normal for 30 weeks or if I should be nervous and stay off my feet. Is sex a no no (my husband is wondering?) could labor be coming? Contractions are more regular but nothing serious, I thought that was normal.HELP

Do all parents see their children as being really succesful? My daughter is not a great student. But she is a great negotiator, extremely strong willed, and when she wants something, she stops at nothing.

ok so I'm trying to understand the family planning method. I know it's not fool-proof and there's a chance I could get pregnant (and yes I'm prepared to raise another child should that happen).

So, is this correct? I have my period right now, just started today, it will probably be completely finished by Tuesday or Wednesday (Oct.17th - 18th). so if I have sex on the 20th, 21st, or 22nd, I probably won't get pregnant right?

Yes i realise this is the 'trying to conceive' section, I just figured you people who are trying to get pregnant would know this best.

The first day of my last period was 22 august. I had unprotected sex on the 14th september. Don't have my period up to now.

I did a urine pregnancy test on the 9th october, which was negative. I was advised to go see a gyno if i dont have my period by oct 20.

But i dont know what to do! I don't have a job (just finished school and looking). My parents dont know. My b/f knows - he only just got a job and they're still training him, so he's not home. I can't handle a baby right now. Also who is going to hire a *young* pregnant woman? My parents are not going to stand for it, neither my b/f's parents.

My b/f and I plan to get married, but we can't do so now. With his job and training, he's going to be away most of the time. I still need to get a job....

What should I do?

Does any one know what that time is?

I have no desire whatsoever to become a Mum. I'm 25 and I have a long term b/friend. I'm mature for my age and I've never been in the slightest bit maternal. It drives me mental how many people, upon finding out that I don't want children, say "Oh, you'll change your mind one day!" - it is patronising and offensive. I know my own mind and don't want kids in my life.

I think a lot of women 'want' children because that is what they have been brought up to feel they need to make their lives complete - perfect husband, perfect kids, perfect house. I have made a concerted decision, based on my lifestyle preferences, not to have kids. I've thought it through and I'm very happy to be childfree. In fact, I've probably thought harder about NOT having kids than a lot of people think about having them. I have no problem about people who want to and do have kids, I'm very happy for them so why can't they extend the same courtesy to me?

How do you all feel about women who don't want children?
