Pregnancy & Parenting - 13 October 2006

I know I'll get split answers here, the half of you that think I'm a bad mom for not wanting to hold my baby all day and all night, and the half of you who will say I am "spoiling" her.

But here it is anyway and I hope I get at least one good suggestion:
My little girl is 7 weeks old and cries and works herself up into a frenzy when I lay her down for a nap or at night. She isn't gassy (I can tell when she is) and will have a full belly and fresh tush and I make sure she is not too hot or cold etc. It seems that all of her needs are being met except one. She wants mommy or daddy. She will relax almost instantly and fall asleep when we pick her up and the moment you lay her down again she is screaming. I don't know what to do about it, she is a fabulous baby until she goes to sleep!! I've tried everything I can think of and I am hoping someone has a trick to suggest. Help Please!

My daughter wants to but i kno it will grow back quicker but because she is getting older she is wanting 2 wear skirts but is embaressed About her leg hair..
I can remember what it is like to be her age and i know how she feels..
I hate being the big bad mum but i just know shes gonna thank me one day... HELP!

i don't know why but i have this overwhelming sence of terror right now. i feel nervous like scared and for no reason. im fine my children are napping i just checked on them. my husband just called everyone and everything is just fine. i just made my first doctors appt. ( im pregnant about 6 weeks now. ) Everything is fine but for some reason i feel scared nervous has anyone esle felt this way? for no reason? i have felt this before but i was not pregnant then and i know that you should not stress out when you are . so how do i make myself calm down when i don;t know what is wrong?

Why do a lot of people out there look down upon Teen Mother's? I had a baby at 17, and she is now 5. Before I was pregnant, I was a drug addict, a drunk, a high school drop out, and a lot of other things I'm not proud of. When I was getting off drugs, I became pregnant. ( thank god I wasn't using then) At that moment I realized my life HAD to change, and now I had a reason. So, I went back to school, I stopped partying. I got a diploma. Then came a full time job. I had my baby, got my own place, and it's been me and her. My parents DIDN'T raise her. If they baby sat, I even paid them. My baby CHANGED my life. Without her, do u know where I would be? Jail maybe? Dead somewhere?
Today people tell me they're proud of how much I changed. How I put that little girl before me, and raised her the best way I knew. Can someone tell me what is wrong with this? There are women in their 30's who can't accomplish what I have. But yet, you tend to judge me and all teen mothers. Why?

I went to my obgyn last year and spoke to him about wanting to have a baby with my husband. Since my periods at the time were very irregular he put me on Clomid, birth control pills, and told me to take my BBT, he even gave me a chart to log it. After taking the pills and taking my BBT every morning before I even got out of bed I realized that my temperature was no where on that chart. I had to alter it because my morning temp was anywhere from 95 to 96 and the chart when from 97 to 100. Is this unusual? Oh, and does anyone know who can do a sperm count for my guy? He's too embarrassed to ask my doctor and won't let me ask either. I think if he found a doctor on his own he might be more inclined to have the test done. Who am I kidding, men don't like knowing that their "soldiers" can't make the long journey home.LOL. Thanks for reading.

Is it rude to ask someone that you are not close with if she is planning on having children?

Is it rude to ask someone that you are not close with if she is planning on having MORE children?

I don't ask someone unless we are close friends. I had a bad experience where I asked a recently married co-worker about her having a child one day and she said that she couldn't have any. I felt horrible for bringing it up. But to be fair she asked me first and I just asked her the same question.

It doesn't bug me when people ask me if I plan to have children because I do, but if I found out I couldn't have kids then I might be hurt if someone asked me about it.

What do you think?

i started takin bcp (cilest) in may 2006 i was experience breakthrough bleeding every month that would last for over a week. i went to see the dr mid august he told me the pill wasnt working because it wasnt strong enough for me, i decided i would use another brand once ide finnished the pack. the pack ended on september the 3rd and i started bleeding on the 5th of september the bleeding was just spotting at first 2 days later i came completely off the following day more bleeding last half a day the the rest days was just light bleed on and off finally stopping for good on the 15th of september. i figured i would count 28 days from the 5th of september becuse my cycle has never been over 28 days so i took a test on the 3rd of october it was negative then i took another on the 5th 10th still negative i must add that 2 days befor the 3rd of october i got a pain like the pain u get just befor ya period start ever since i felt nausea sometimes nearly being sick also exteme tirdness.

My girl and I start having sex 2 months ago and her periods were not a bit late. Her period comes at the last week or the first week of the month. And her period just came out today. Is this a sign of preganacy? My friend said that her period was delayed because she was sick last week . and maybe that was the cause of her delayed period. What do u think? pls help.

despite my efforts I made going to the dr. and hosp to try and find out what was wrong me. fever of 104, high B.P. etc. It wasn't till 11 days later when I demanded an ultrasound that they found that peices of placenta were retained. The next day I was scheduled for a D&C right when they were about to send me home they found that my body was hemmoraging and my blood pressure was lowering. I was rushed to the E.R. for a surgery. I lost 4 pints of blood, therefor they gave me 2 units of blood transfusion. My doctor said another 30 mins and I would have died. 5 days later I'm sent to a different hosp. for another surgery. I was told when I was released that I had a 5% chance of conceiving another child and if i did it could be a difficult process and I may be in the same place.11 months later I find out my 5 different birth control wasnt working and I'm 6 weeks preg. I"m scared for my life. Its so soon, and my body still had issues i was seein a dr. for. What would U do in my situtation?

Okay, when I have kids, I would like to breastfeed because it is best for the baby, but...anytime anything barely touches "that area" it is only a few more seconds of that before I...well, let's just say it feels really good. How can I beastfeed without feeling turned on? I mean, if me changing clothes feels like that, I can only imagine how it would feel. And don't let me get started on how it feels when husband does it to me. Can you just 'turn off' the extreme arousal when it's time to breatfeed or do you ignore it or do you just let it happen and not tell anyone? This has always bothered me because I really want my child to have the benefit of breastmilk, but not if it means I am orgasming at the same time. I almost don't see how that's not considered as child abuse. I'm just confused--women just don't talk about this sort of thing. Can someone please tell me what it feels like when you actually do it? I'm on month 4 of clomid 1st round at 150 mgs. Low proegterone levels so far, so no ovulation. I am on day 3 of the clomid and am experiencing thick egg white mucus. I also had this last month, but then it dries up around the time that I am supposed to ovulate, could I be ovulating already. Any suggestions?

I''l start with the actual story. My partner and i tried to have sex for the first time with a condom on but didnt manage because he's penis was too big or i'm too tight. Then we tried to do it without a condom. He thrusted but still couldnt penetrate. This happened on the 30th of sept and i have got my period on the 19th of sept. We tried with a condom again on the 7th but still didnt manage and so he tried to penetrate again but still couldnt manage. even without a condom. Now i'm worried because while thrusting he might have had some pre-ejeculate. but is it possible? because it wasnt stimulated cos he was just trying to put it in. Last night i was feeling dizzy and i woke up feeling dizzy but then i drank a lot during the day and i felt better . Also i urinated quite a lot today but i think the liquids that i drank induced my frequent urination.My period is supposed to be coming soon. I'm stressing quite a lot. what do you think the chances of me being preg are ?

Ok here goes my story book. I'm married and have been TTC. On Sep.2nd I bled light and for 3 days and I haven't had any bleeding since. Currently I'm 13 days late for my period. Took a home test last week and it came out very faint positive. Now today I went to the DR. and they did a urine test and blood and BOTH came out Negative. What the hell?
My nipples are tender, I'm tired, My lower abdomen is bloated, moody, seems like I pee more often, dizzy, get a headache about every other day.
