I would talk to your doctor asap. I have heard of some spotting, but you should never spot for that long.

I got the IUD after second son was born, I spotted for 1 month then it went away and never had a period again had the IUD removed when he turned 1 yr. Now we are trying to conceive again. Give it time the spotting will stop and some women like me dont have periods at all and no cramping.

It will stop, pretty soon. I spotted for about 8 weeks, on and off.
Your next couple periods will probably be a little heavier than usual, but by six months, you probably wont' be having a period at all.
I love the iud. I know it's annoying now, but stick with it. You'll like it.

Sounds very Normal it also epends on which IUD you have. With Mirena I spotted about 3 months on and off and since then havent had a period. As long as its just spotting and not a flow you are okay

i bled for 6 weeks on and off with my IUD and it did stop eventually so keep your head up cause after it does stop 85% of women dont have a period anymore on it. i didnt have one for three eyars and loved loved loved it lol. and i also never had a problem with mine. i had it taken out in january to try for baby 3 and was preggo in february. and after this baby is born, after discussing wanting a tubal done the dr convinced me to go back to the IUD and tahts what i will do. hang in there

I had spotting with Mirena for about 6 weeks maybe a little longer. Since then I have had very light periods here and there. I have had it for over a year.
I would just call your Dr office and ask to talk to a nurse.
