First of all, congratulations!

There is too much to say in just a short Internet response to I suggest you get a few good books on pregnancy. My favorite is "What to Expect When You're Expecting." It tells what to expect with each passing month, what to watch for, what to expect at each doctor's appointment, important self-care info, nutrition during pregnancy, etc.

Good luck!

PS Here is a good article on "Things you Should Not Do During Pregnancy."

Hello Sweety, congratulations! Be sure to see the Doctor regularly for check-ups. Don't stay up too late, your little one likes you relaxed and in a good mood! :-)) Don't get stressed out too much, cuz the little ones feel your feelings too! Don't go to places where it's very loud for a longer time (like, clubs and bars with loud music) because the little ones are very sensitive there. Don't smoke, don't drink, and don't do anything that doesn't do YOU good, cuz then you don't do your Baby good either! Otherwise: enjoy, relax, look forward to having such a precious little gift from God!!! Greetings from Germany!

Babycenter.com has good insight on this and will answer many of your pregnancy and baby-related questions. I still use it and my daughter is preschool-aged.

But try to get well-balanced meals of fruits and veggies, getting enough water and milk in your diet as well, staying away from beer and alcohol to avoid developmental problems with the baby, and from spicey and greasy foods to avoid heartburn and tummy aches, and throwing up other than morning sickness. Your baby will most often dictate your meals based upon cravings you will get. Something else you need to get enough of is folic acid. In conjunction with taking prenatal vitamins, you can find a few cereals and oatmeals that contain folic acid in the amounts pregnant women need (Total is a good cereal for it, that is what I ate).

Hope this helps and good luck with your pregnancy. Babies are gifts from God so we must take care of them accordingly.

So I guess the 2nd test came out positive congratulations. Yes you should call your doctor and make your first prenatal visit. Also drink plenty of water and eat your four food groups make sure you are eating smaller more frequent meals ( helps control sickness) Good Luck

Make sure you take your prenatal vits every day, drink plenty of water, get good amount of rest, you are going to need 300 extra calories a day for the growing baby. No herbal supplements if you take any. Alot of green veggies ( for folic acid) Milk, and cheese for calcium (preg women are prone to losing teeth and bone density due to lack of calcium) No smoking, drinking, snorting (j/k), and no stress. Good luck.

Lots of protein (meats, dairy, beans), fruits and veggies, whole grain, and drink lots of water. Take a prenatal vitamin everyday. Try and exercise, ( ask your Dr. about safe ones )
