What ever happen to reaping the spoils of war?

Should the USA, tell the UN, that if they do not stand up to the plate and help with Bush's mistake, the war on ERROR, that we will take the IRAQ as part of the USA.

Either way we win.

If conservatives had total control here is what I envision:
A strong military.
Government getting out of our business - for example, cutting out all the wasteful spending on people who do not work. I do not advocate stopping benefits for the truly disabled or other people who REALLY need help, just the sponges. That would save lots of money that could be refunded to the hardworking people of America.
Next, patriotic moviemakers would abound. None of this crap that puts America down. I am not talking about constructive criticism. We should always strive to be better, and that includes recognizing our weaknesses and fixing them. Also, Hollywood would stop making movies that have excessive profanity and violence toward women.

Children and the elderly will be respected. Child molesters would automatically get long jail sentences. NAMBLA would be outlawed.

The ACLU would stop defending child molesters and monsters and stick to REAL issues.
I could think of lots more.

Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung III, Mahmoud Ahmedinejad?
Oh, I forgot. Her VP must be American. She has to pick a demonic socialist from her own political party. Well, she has plenty to choose from.
Who do you think it will be?

They have watched Americans die to install them in their position of power, whilst removing those that had historically ill-treated them.... Sunnis...

Not only that, They have been handed the keys to the power room (Iran) without so much as a by your leave...

Al-Sadr nicely ensconsed in Iran can threaten the well being of the 'liberators'... Was this the plan all along or is this just another co ck up by the Bush Administration.?

Less people on this precious planet would mean less pollution. Less people breathing, less cars being driven, fewer natural resources being used, less of a carbon footprint on this precious planet. Oh, an added bonus: fewer conservatives since they would be the only ones defending the USA.
Fewer people would mean a cleaner environment!!
Now, with High Priest Al Gore leading us, let's all fall prostrate and worship Holy Mother Earth.

And America's anti-war liberal majority actually set the agenda, instead of being marginalized by the corporations and imperialists in Washington?

I think FDR. He played a HUGE part in bringing us out of the Depression, even though his New Deal policies were not the biggest reason. World War II was, and he was a brilliant leader during World War II. He also did a lot, relatively speaking, at that time to foster civil rights. The only real gripe that I have with him is that scourge of Japanese prison camps. Otherwise, he was a flawless ruler.
PS: Neo-cons, America is where it is today only because of FDR.

Or did they muster from deep within their cold, dark, lifeless souls the decency to wait another day or two?

Bush is now beginning to do what liberals have been trying to get him to do for a long time now.

This, after multiple independent reports that say that Iraq is not doing well, that it cannot stand on its own two feet, that its military is not strong enough to defend the country, that the government is unstable and not getting any better...

And Bush is trying to give the Republicans a boost in the next election.

Isn't that ironic?

I fought political bigotry against democrats and President Clinton when he was in office.
I have ethics. I do the same now with republicans and President Bush.

Why do we tolerate it?
"Because the other party does it?"
"Because someone did it to me?"
"Because they are wrong, because they disagree with me?"
"Because it is free speech and therefore anything I say should be treated respectfully and accepted regardless of content?"
"Because I am right and that gives me the right to treat others as 'guilty until proved innocent', call them names, or spread unfounded rumors about them?"

Would we tolerate it in any other aspect of our lives, or worse, associate with such people?

In a children's playground, yes, but in politics? Why? I understand that it would happen. Of course. So does murder.

But to tolerate it? To join in? Have you? Will you, tomorrow? Or will you fight it?

Is it the last great prejudice of our great country to be identified and shunned?

Is it part of you?

It really appears as if the rest of the world has decided our days as the lone superpower are numbered.China,Russia,Europe and Asia are all preparing for a world without American supremacy. They have begun to forge alliances and economic treaties that not only do not include the United States, many dismiss the USA as unimportant in the scheme of things.

We are stuck to Iraq while the rest of the world is moving on..

The incompetence of the neoconservatives has done what the USSR could not do,what Al Qaeda cannot do,and that is the defeat of the United States as the world's only superpower.

And the most hideous aspect to all of this are the millions who fell into line, screaming"traitor"at anyone who dared point oput the dangerous path they were taking, while along it was and is there arrogance and lack of foresight which is bringing on the end of American supremacy.

How can the right defend the damage they have brought on our country?
