....WASHINGTON -- After years of unwavering support for the Bush administration, the powerful pro-Israel lobbying group AIPAC has begun to sharply criticize the White House over its handling of Iran's nuclear program.

At issue for AIPAC is Bush's decision last month to hold off on pushing to report Iran's nuclear case to the UN Security Council. The president and Israel have favored reporting it for the past two years. But with little support from other key US allies, Bush reversed course and endorsed a Russian offer that would allow Iran to conduct some, but not all, the nuclear work it says it needs for an indigenous nuclear energy program...."

I have seen many comments that attack Bush (or Blair) as if he has absolute power, like the rulers of some other countries, rather than him being the temporary president of a republic with a freely elected, representive government involving a seperation of powers. Are these critics simply playing the childish game 'If I were king'?

This is serious. Personal annotations not needed. Think of if I asked what were the first three things that come to mind if I say Germany - most would say beer, brauts, and Nazis or something of that nature. French - cheese, wine, eiffel tower. We know how patriotic George W Bush is, as are most Americans - but, the 2nd paragraph of the American Declaration of Independence states - QUOTE:

I have read a lot of complaints about Yahoo censoring some people here. Complaints being filed, etc. Should US business be bound by the first amendment? Should an employee be able to run around and tell everyone that the boss is a jerk? Or every time they get work they say, boss I wish you would die. I hate you. And that the boss could not fire them?
We the people have told the Government that it cannot stop us from saying what we like. But baby, if you join the CIA, oh boy is what you can say going to be restricted.
I am only sorry I did not find this place long ago. It is great. So, I watch my language a bit. (I tend to swear a lot) and that is not a big restriction on me. Watch the name calling and have fun.

Liberalism is the same thing as socialism, just a slightly different wrapper. Liberals love income redistribution in the form of high confiscatory taxes. Liberals have no sense of humor. Liberals have no God except the state. Liberals support killing the unborn. Liberals do not believe in personal responsibility. Liberals are so afraid to offend the fringe groups that they offend the majority. Liberalism is anti-traditional family. Liberalism supports and promotes the homosexual agenda. Liberals are racist. This myth that most Americans are for the war is now squashed. Even after all the polls from all the networks (of course Fox had the highest percentage of Americans for the war) some in this country still cant believe this fact. Well here it is. Can we all admit this or is there still some stubborn ones out there? You say you know we should be there. How the hell can you defend this war when you have no idea what the real gameplan is or was. Iraq should of been given the chance to resist the surge of true terrorists that were not even really in Iraq before we invaded, we invaded for WMDs that probably never existed. What kind of backwards as* president do we got? I mean hes either stupid or corrupt, pick one! He lands a plane onto a carrier(if he was even flying) trying to look like a rockstar and then announces victory, what a fricking scam that was. Im Independent yet Im voting for Ron Paul, no matter what party he runs under. The republicans and democrates, - Ron, can go to hell.

The US government spent about 400 billion dollars of borrowed money for the war in Iraq. This is our (future) tax money because we will have to pay back the borrowed money. Even a Republican president will have to raise taxes to pay back 400 billion. Wouldn't it be better to issue government bonds to pay for the war? This way it could be financed by those who feel like paying for it (later the government would pay back those bonds with interest).

Osama and Al Quida were the biggest threats to American national security, Bush continued to think Saddam was.
9/11 occured, caused by Al Quida and most likely funded by Osama, and Bush still thinks that Saddam is the biggest threat.
What more has to happen to make Bush and his supporters see that Al Quida is the biggest threat, and go after the root of the entire problem? Or is Bush just taking the scenic route, through Iraq?

doing my part in saving the planet?

Cow's fart a lot... and this gas is exactly the gas that is causing "global warming"... C02... As a matter of fact... cows produce more C02 gas than our vehicles do. So... by eating them as much as possible I am ridding the world of these earth killing creatures... right?
