doing my part in saving the planet?
Cow's fart a lot... and this gas is exactly the gas that is causing "global warming"... C02... As a matter of fact... cows produce more C02 gas than our vehicles do. So... by eating them as much as possible I am ridding the world of these earth killing creatures... right?
Kind of a catch 22 for the PETA people huh?

After I viewed this article I have sworn to eat only meat; I must do it for the environment. I am an extremest so I am not going to stop at just beef, I am going to eat veal, chicken pork, venison, bison and every other animal known to man I am sure baby cow, chickens and pigs fart too.
Perhaps we should make the ultimate sacrifice and eat members of PETA so that we can reduce our carbon footprint.

Some people just don't get the humor nor the irony of your statement.
First is that they fail to realize that cow gas (from both ends) do add to the amount of CO2. That is the funny part.
The ironic part is that you have organizations such as PETA, that scream for the ethical treatment of animals and say nothing about the millions of abortions that are committed.
That is a sad state of affairs when animals have a better chance of being protected than our own unborn children.

I literally just read an article about this the other day. Not only about beef but moose as well.
But what the liberal media was saying is that if we ate less meat, we wouldn't have to produce as much hence cutting the, uh hmmm, bovine emissions.
My argument is that if we eat less meat, we'd be eating more vegetables, meaning more fiber, then WE would be causing the huge amount of CO2 out of our hiney's instead of the cows.
It just blows my mind at how the "Gore" people are grasping at straws and blaming almost EVERYTHING on global climate change these days.
Won't be long before they say sex causes it from all the heavy breathing.

Last week, the new free seniors; bus and rapid transit program went into effect in Chicago. Many of the seniors have written to the newspaper to point out that they did not ask for the free rides and refuse to take advantage of the program when there are working people who cannot afford bus fare to get to their jobs. The sales tax in Chicago was raised to over ten percent, the highest in the nation, to pay for the public transportation system, including the free ride program for seniors. That increased tax puts a burden on everyone, including the poor. it also discourages buying in the city, which sooner or later will mean fewer job opportunities at retail establishments in the city. The government failed to recognize that not all seniors are poor, and not all poor people are seniors. Millionaires over the age of 65 living on the Gold Coast get free rides in Chicago while people looking for employment have to scrape together a couple of dollars to travel to a job interview. Something is wrong with the system.

Maybe if the beef industry would lower the price of a good T-Bone to less than a dollar a pound, we could solve global warming.

Actually - that is false...
While cows do produce just as much CO2 as humans (the same way)... it does not NEARLY compare to automobile fumes and burning fuels for electricity...
Visit the IPCC website for the exact numbers on this.
Here is a chart that shows where the largest CO2 emissions in the world are at on the globe... and they are not on the cattle ranches...

2ndly - PETA will not get nearly as offended as Hindus will...

No, they want you to kill most of the cow but not eat them. Then just be a vegetarian after than and let the remaining cows roam free.
