I have seen many comments that attack Bush (or Blair) as if he has absolute power, like the rulers of some other countries, rather than him being the temporary president of a republic with a freely elected, representive government involving a seperation of powers. Are these critics simply playing the childish game 'If I were king'?

You're right Bush doesn't have all of the power like all of the dictators who democrats regularly fraternize with do.

actually it is a well known fact that what happens in those countries (UK and US) and who runs them will effect almost every part of the world - save for very rich countries in the emirates - or other oil capitals.

Brittain have the most valuable currency and the USA have and arsenal of other things that make their country a force that effects the world.

I dont think it has anything to do with having/wanting a monarchy - I dont think a country would become republican if that were the case? But im sure there are monarchists in the states, as their are republicans in brittain.

I think a lot of the Dems, Libs, and Lefties would rather have their lips wrapped around Castro's Cuban cigar.

That would be difficult, though, since their heads are already so far up Hugo's butt.

given the antics of nancy pelosi and the confiscatory tax and welfare legislation ive seen, it appears to me that most of the liberal assembled would prefer a socialist state similar to the alignment of the hillary socialist health care system.

Dubya, the self-proclaimed "Decider", would seem to prefer a dictatorship! He has essentially done away with that "g-d piece of paper", the Constitution of the United States, in preference for "his way or the highway", because, as he states, he heard it directly from God's mouth to his ear! George W. Bush is a traitor to this country, whose laws he swore to uphold, and I, for one, can't wait until his "term" is over. I only wish that he would be able to "serve another term"--in a Federal penitentary!!!!

Honestly many of the supporters of bush would like a monarchy. If you question king bush, then off with your head.
