Fool the american people once shame on you? fool them twice through 1000 times and they will keep believing you like they are stuck in an apathetic fear inspired stupor?

Is this saying descriptive of politics in the USA today? what do you think? Agree? Disagree?

I read this while reading a political article, and am throwing it out there for discussion/debate. I hope free speech is respected. I hear questions like this can mysteriously get deleted.

Propaganda is interesting. And frightening. We all need to pay close attention to what keeps being repeated and to the words that are used.

Look up definition of surge - it is not a trickling in of more troops. What we had was an escalation but that word has bad Nixonian connotations so they needed a different word.

Personally I find the repeated use of "homeland" frightening and too much like the terminology of the totalitarian regimes of my youth.

Words are important, pay attention to the words used in politics as well as their repetition.

Yup, just look at how many times the democrats have fooled the American public in the past and there are still many who trust them. Go figure.
