what did Reagan do to stop terrorism?

He sold weapons to Iranians. Funded and supplied weapons to the Taliban, and he left Beruit...that sounds like a "cut and run" .

Not I... It started under Carter, with the storming and kidnapping of the US Embassy in Tehran, Iran. Continued under Reagan (Beruit), GHW Bush, blossomed under Clinton, and has continued under G W Bush.

Nationalist Terrorism in the region(s) dates back to World War II. Egyptian Nationalists, Iraqi Nationalists, Iranian Nationalists...

It's too bad that some folks do stupid things in the name of religion.

incredible question. Islamic terrorism has been around for a hell of an prolonged time. returned in 1929, in Hebron, in what became then Palestine, a radical Muslim team massacred a team of harmless Jews merely because of the fact they have been there. interior the Seventies, the Ayatollah 'formally' declared conflict on the West. Even a cursory look for the period of the Koran shows that an inherent area of Islam is the theory that non believers, 'infidels' are no longer worth and should be killed. Islam is the only faith that has the theory of 'jihad' or 'holy conflict'. No different faith consists of interior of it any such as this. all and sundry who argues that the West is responsible for Islamic terrorism has properly and quite lost the plot. in the event that they experience that way, then enable them to circulate to an Islamic state and spot what quite is going on there. they are going to get a foul ask your self. Have a celebrity for an incredible question, by ability of how!

Radical Islamic terrorism and the problems in the Middle East began long before Clinton's time, and even before Israel existed and before world war II.
Republican and Democratic presidents have made an equal number of mistakes and blunders dealing with it, but the main problem is - They are Crazy! It doesn't really matter what you do, they will always respond with murder and bloodshed because that's how they think they will get into heaven.

It's simply mistaken to refer to "Islamic terrorism against the US" - - - it's Islamic terrorism against all non-Muslims. I'm not saying all Muslims participate or support it. What I'm saying is (1) the source is in fact Islamic dogma and doctrine, including the Koran and the example of the man who wrote it, and (2) it's pointed at everything that isn't the literal version of Islam - - - - at Buddhists, Hindus, and even at moderate Muslims, not at all just Americans or even the West.

Yes it started on Clinton's watch but it doesn't necessarily mean that he was the cause just like it doesn't mean that Bush is the cause. The first president to fight radical Muslims was Thomas Jefferson when he fought and defeated the Barbary Pirates.

No it started during the Carter administration and grew due to us not knowing they were at war with us before we ever went to war with them in Afghanistan and Iraq. The tear down of the CIA by the 1970's Congresses and the Carter administration ensured this would happen though.

It all started before Clinton, but Clinton didn't do anything about it, although he knew all too well what was going on, and terrorism continued throughout his presidency. He knew and he downsized the military, and our national security. To know more read, "Catastrophe, Clinton's role in America's worst disaster!"

No. It started 40 years ago.

And Reagan did plenty to fight terrorism.

Remember the Iranian Hostage Crisis? What about when he sunk the entire Iranian navy?

Ahh you liberals.

It became a problem while Reagan was President.

Lots of wingers seem to froget that, when terrorist skilled all those Marines in Lebanon,Ronnie Ray Gun "cut and run" as quick as he could, thus emboldening them and beginning the struggle between America and the "Islamofascists".

They also tend to forget that it was Ronnie Ray Gun who armed the mujahadeen in Afghanistan, and provided the conditions for the birth of the Taliban.

Ronnie Ray Gun,senile hero of the right,is the father of terrorism.
