The liberal media would have you believe that every soldier who comes home from war goes the John Kerry route and starts speaking out against the war.

The truth is simple statistics. About 2% of the military call themselves liberals, about 10% call themselves Democrats and I believe 15% are moderate (this doesn't specify moderate liberal or moderate conservative).

Naturally a small number of troops will oppose the war. The reality is that the majority of military supports the war and is against immediate withdrawal.

Just think, for every soldier you see against the war, there are at least 5 more that are not against it.

Why don't they get air time on CNN? MSNBC?

Did you know that John Kerry, upon returning from Vietnam, joined a radical anti war group with a small number of other veterans that through their medals over the fence of the White House. When asked about this later, Kerry admitted that he didn't throw HIS medals, he threw someone else’s. Interesting enough.

As a veteran, I feel that what these veterans are doing is disrespectful to their brothers in arms. Do they hate the military? Yes and no. See, if you've ever been in the military you'd know that there are really two types of people in the military. There are some who joined for money and college and then whine about having to fulfill their obligations. They ride profiles and disobey orders, they disrespect military conduct and rebel against authority. They are behavior problems and have counseling’s and Article 15s out the wazoo. They are unreliable irresponsible and just bad soldiers. These are, in my EXPERIANCE AND OPINION, the ones who return home and speak out against the military. The never liked the military and never will. They get out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and never think of going back.

The other type are the type that sign up because of patriotism, the type who enjoy the military and respect what it stands for. While money and college may have been incentives, the idea of serving their country was ALSO an incentive. They are good soldiers who believe in what they are doing. These are the lifers who stay in until retirement, who suck it up when it's time to get the mission done. These are the good leaders who obey commands, respect military courtesy and above all believe in honor and duty. These are the ones you don't find speaking out against the war much (though I will not say "never" because we all know where speaking in absolutes gets us).

Either way, I respect these people a HELL OF A LOT more than those who have never seen a day in a war zone. At least they have first hand experience to draw from.

I don't feel angered by these individuals, just disappointed.

I don't understand why people say anybody hates the military. These are people who do as they are told very well and have nothing to do with policy. I would imagine that being in Iraq is a very personal experience to all who are there. Some seem to feel its rewarding and others see it all as a mistake. The divide is within the military as well as within the civilian population.

Why does what they say carry more weight than vets returning from Iraq who support the mission?

They can oppose whatever they want but I'd want to know what there agenda is. A true vet would wait until his comrades were home safely. Kerry was a traitor. Peace

it is expected. The "conflict" is a glorified source seize, its entire factor is to kill and maim harmless people so as to cause them to placed as much as the hot rulers. they do no longer basically resign their wealth you be conscious of. They gain this basically at gunpoint, and the place weapons are pointed people take place to die.

Not only do they hate the military, they are un-American, traitors, and provide aid and support to the enemy.

Sounds rather ridiculous, doesn't it?
