Petraeus own boss, the Admiral, disagrees with most of the Generals report. So is the Admiral also against the troops? Come one Repubs, that line has lost any power it once had. The Bush policies in Iraq have failed miserably, it is time to face reality and move on to more realistic operations. Bush has sunk our fate in Iraq, the US will have to be there for the next 10 years at least to clean up the mess we've made. So let's revamp our strategies and goals, let's get Saudi Arabia, Syria, and other islamic countries involved. Even Petraeus himself has said that the conflict in Iraq will not be solved by the military alone. Time for Bush to swallow his pride and pull his head out of his butt.

General Patraeus and the Ambassador are only reporting on areas where the surge was in effect. The report does not include the outlook for the entire country. I heard during the hearing today that the entire south of Iraq has been lost since the 40,000 Brits have left. This is not included, nor would they answer a question about it.
They are not lying, they are only reporting what they are allowed to report. I am sure these are both honorable men stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don't envy their positions.

fist off it a small group of liberals that are calling general petraeus a liar. second petraeus' superior admiral fallon commander of cent com has his own report and it said the opposite of general petraeus' cherry picking report. third supporting the troops is more than nice slogans and flag waving photo ops. when troops are forced to extend their tour of duty, giving them out dated equipment, cutting their training by at least half, and cutting their VA benefits is no way to support the troops. so please dont put up that yellow ribon and say you support the troops

they can say they support the troops because supporting the troops means more than just giving supplies to them and pointing them in the right direction it means trying to keep them out of harm's way whenever possible, looking out for the troops when no one else will step up and say this is not the way to treat the troops example look at how it goes troops go to Iraq not enough home time they are extended there not enough home time they serve two tours and are supposed to go home yet the are extended again and again so you are not being supportive if you do not speak up and say this is wrong there is much more to supporting troops than just saying we are behind all you do there

Hating the troops and not supporting a stupid war are not the same thing. Wouldn't we hate it if we sent our troops, who happen to be our sons and daughters, into a bloodzone that will gain them nothing. When you fight an unprovoked war, you lose. Just look at Vietnam and the current Iraq War. At least the First Gulf War was provoked because of Saddam's attacking Kuwait.
Buddy, learn some God-damn history.

I have not had one liberal buy one of the items seen @
http://ccbp.2ya.com
These items are sold to show support for our boys and girls in the armed services and NOT one was sold to a democrat
So if you are Liberal Democrat you can be the first to buy these -- Come on now, don't you want to support the troops

You ever heard of DoubleSpeak?
If not, look it up in Wikipedia or read 1984 by George Orwell. You'll understand them much better.

why do conservatives say the support the troops?
You are unwilling to raise taxes to pay for it...guess it's all good if it isn't your kid or husband and as long as it doesn't take a dime from your pocket.
support from a conservative= voting for Bush and displaying a yellow ribbon on your enormous SUV.
