Excellent question! That is my point exactly. Where were all the mosque burnings and lynchings of Muslims after 9-11? It simply did not happen. That is why I am suspicious of the reports that American soldiers are "killing women and children in the dark of night" in Iraq as John Kerry put it. I think that we ARE better than the radical Muslim animals that twist that religion to justify their heinous crimes. Have you been watching Glenn Beck? He had some counter terrorism experts on that claim that the next hit will be on American school children - and it won't just be in a big city like New York. Did you hear about the two Middle Eastern men who got on a school bus in Florida? Or the many Middle Eastern men who are applying for school bus drivers? What about the mysterious disappearance of school bus radios in the Seattle area? It sounds scary. And the terrorism experts say that they want to murder 2 million American children with the purpose of turning us into animals like they are. They think there wil be mosque burnings and lynchings of Muslims in the streets if that happens. They said the purpose of that is to say to the Muslim world "see, they wanted to kill all Muslims all along." Diabolical basta**s.

Does it seem like some people want their own prime time special on Al-Jezzera as the guy having their head removed?
Considering the inhuman acts of the Islamic terrorists, I'd say America--and the West in general--has been damn right saintly.
Seen many Christans rioting and burning Mosques down because of some words from a Muslim Imam? Or due to the printing of cartoons?
How 'bout after 7/7 in England?
3/11 in Spain?
Or following the numerous other attempts at murder by the fundies?
I gotta ask: AIDS and Christians??
And Darfur is Muslims killing Christians and animists.
Oh, and other Muslims who don't follow an Arabic way of life.
Nigeria is also.....Muslims.
The Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and India are...you guessed it..Militant Muslims creating strife because they cannot seem to get along with their neighbors.

Because Americans' bigotry is rooted in race, more so than in religion. Just look back to the 1960's and beyond. If the KKK had the kind of weapons and technology that the pseudo-radical Muslims do now, the slaughtering of blacks would have been a lot worse than it was.
So while what's going on in the Middle East is appalling to the civilized mind, our own history isn't much to brag about, either. The argument can be made that the KKK didn't represent all Americans, but the same is true over there. Not all Muslims are blood thirsty, freedom hating psychopaths.

I think the first answer covered the recent events. Beyond that you might want to open your eyes. Take a good look at Dar fur, Ireland, Nigeria. Never mind Christianity's long, bloody history. The problems are limited a particular brand of religion. It's all religion that breeds violence. The problem is that no one wants to see the truth. One item worth noting about the Abrahamic religions is that they have an interesting talent for letting themselves off the hook for their crimes. Whether it's the crusades, the murder of millions of Native Americans, or the recent AIDS pandemic, Christians in particular have demonstrated an excellent ability to absolve themselves of any responsibility.

There have been dozens o fincidents of attacks on Muslims--and defacing of mosques.
The religious right is getting their blood lust sated through the war in Iraq--plus they know the rule o flaw is strong enough inn Americaa that they will jsut get jailed if hey try it.
But these people are not christians--they are false, just as the terrorists are not true Muslims--the overwhelming majority of which are law-abiding and peaceful.
But let me reiterate--the religious right in America ARE NOT CHRISTIANS. Ado-pting a label does not change the contents--and these people are not followers of Jesus Christ.
