"We support our troops, just not what theyre doing".

Why would they burn an effigy of a soldier in Portland, OR on March 17, 2007? (Not to mention flags.)

Thanks liberals but I think we can do without that support.

Is this legal to do in other parts of the world?

Who else would want to burn their home flag?

Man do I have some questions on this topic . I feel it's high-time for some honest answers too .
My question should appear facetious to you because we all know that Moveon supports the Democratic Party . Of course they wouldn't run that ad . We all know that . And the fact that NONE of the Democratic Presidential Candidates have publicly condemned that ad.. . from an organization which is tied at the hip with the Democratic Party , is truly beyond anything that I would've expected . This inaction by people who are asking to be voted as our LEADER , is atrocious .

I look at it this way . My vote is one vote . If the majority of the country disagrees with my choice , well then we'll have a Democratic President , and I'll have to live with that . But for goodness sakes people , we can't have a leader who's afraid to publicly condemn a website and it's participants and owners . We just can't . And we're the ones to decide , now aren't we.

Please answer the titled question honestly.

The so called OIL Sharing in the puppet Iraq Constitution allows foreign Oil Companies to TAKE 2/3rds of the Oil. Boy that sure is sharing... The other 1/3rd is pretend oil for Iraq that is funnelled back to the same FOREIGN oil companies. Geezes no wonder why they hate us. Displace 4 million people, kill 500,000+, and steal their oil.

Liberals don't mind discussing who is more patriotic if patriotism is defined as redistributing income and supportin racial quotas. Only if patriotism is defined as supporting America do they get testy and drone on about 'Fascism.'

Why do we have sanctions against Cuba but relations with the dictatorships of the middle east?

Saudi Arabia especially is run by a right-wing fundamentalist monarchy. The 911 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia and most of the foreign fighters killing our troops in Iraq are from Saudi Arabia. The Saudis have been getting rich off oil money and have been using that money to fund right-wing fundamentalist versions of Islam abroad, including the United States.

.........in what countries do you see relations improving if the Democrats win the White-House and why? Germany and France do NOT count as their new leaders have begun to improve relations with Washington already.

UNLESS that candidate PUBLICLY condemns the Moveon Ad and everything about Moveon ?

It's becoming a stark reminder that although many Democrats have PUBLICLY condemned the ad. . . . NOT EVEN ONE Democratic Presidential Candidate has done so .
WHY ?
I realize that I may be helping the dems because if they do condemn it, then this issue will die . But I'm more concerned about US and OUR country . This type of behavior cannot be tolerated and since it has been made an issue , it needs to be addressed .
It now has become obvious why only the Democratic Candidates won't publicly condemn it. . . . it's because they'll lose the support of Moveon . And likely suffer retribution from Moveon . They're afraid . And since when does any candidate who's AFRAID ever get elected ? You want strong leadership ? So do I . No matter who wins .

THIS WILL NOT DO .

Will You Call-on and email your Democratic Candidate and demand an explanation ? . .. Or Will You Capitulate ?

pre-invasion.

The only argument left is that iraq was in violation of UN resolution....but the UN refused to take military action against Iraq.

So why did we invade Iraq again? and why was it such an emergency that we do so?

Is it that Sadaam was an evil dictator? lol, and by what criteria and by what moral right do we get to decide which evil dictators rule and which dont? Holes have been shot in all the arguments as far as I know...but please give it your best shot. We are all ears ...lol

Iraq is the worst foreign policy decision, maybe, in U.S. history. I blame both parties, not just the Bush administration, as, there was ample evidence back then by the DIA and CIA that Iraq posed no serious threat. Only 6 Senators even bothered to read the reports from the CIA available to them before casting probably the most important vote of their careers.

We might have been more patient with the U.N. sanctions and inspections of facilities in Iraq.

But, fact is, we invaded a troubled region.

Now, we are there, and 4 years later, it is a mess, but really, no matter, we are there. Should we leave, chaos will ensue, and it is hard to imagine Al Qaeda and enemy factions, THAT CONSIDER US AN ENEMY and given the chance, will attack us with anything they can bring.

All told, shouldn't we stick this out, even knowing it was a snafu and fubar beyond comprehension?

Liberals are so used to the good life that they can't seem to comprehend that there are people that hate us.

'Poor' people with cars, cable TV and myspace pages complain about having no money. Have they ever heard about third world countries that live off of dirty water, walk around naked and have flies buzzing all around them?

You'd think 9/11 would have woken Americans up to the fact that we had to fight for all that we take for granted. Alas, six years later and we are once again dozing off......oblivious to the threat against us, fighting those who are trying to protect us, while sympathizing with those who try to kill us.

Maybe some hard times is due for our great nation. Just so we can appreciate what we have and what others wish they had.

...unbiased, straight information about what each of the Presidential candidates stands for? I don't want a propaganda website or a newssite that interprets someone's stance; I want something that will show me how they feel on the different, important views of our society today. How else can you make an informed decision?

Yesterday Nancy Pelosi asked Gen. Petraus if his plan was ultimately to keep us in Iraq for 10 years.

Given that anywhere from 2,500 to 7,500 Iraqis are killed each month, most of them innocent civilians, and about 60 to 100 American soldiers are killed each month, 10 more years there would mean, CONSERVATIVELY, about 9,000 more dead American soldiers, probably anther 18,000 to 24,000 Americans wounded, and CONSERVATIVELY, another 420,000 Iraqi CIVILIANS killed in 10 years.

So, are you OK with all these dead innocents and all these dead soldiers? And what does that say about you?

And, what do you think Iraq will be like in 10 years if we stay that long?
