Everyone will know and have seen the proof by then of Bushco's scam for oil profits in these last few days of oil dependency.

Are they really so stupid as to think they will get away with it?

I know that Jim Webb (D-Virginia) has a son either in Iraq or recently back from Iraq and Joe Biden’s (D-Delaware) son is going to Iraq soon. These are 2 anti-war Democrats that have children in the war, yet the conservatives say they hate America.

Are there any Republican’s in Congress with kids in Iraq?

Bush expected the Gen. to use cherry-picked statistics that anyone paying attention in the press could and has illustrated didn't present a fair and accurately complete picture of things going on in Iraq.

I mean seriously, these two men carry the entire burden of a war strategy that has been written and rewritten by what 3 Generals before his attempt and there has been much speculation that it is the White House policies that write strategy not the strategy that determines W.H. policy.

I think President Bush has showed much cowardice by passing the buck to the General and the Ambassador here.
He's asking them to justify the unjustifiable and put all of the weight on their shoulders to try and muster the American people!

Liberals call all Republicans either liars or stupid. Bush lied, Cheney lied, Fox lies, everyone that disagrees with them are liars, now even a man who has devoted his entire career to military service is a liar and has Betrayed Us! Like Petraeus would lose his job as a General in the Army if the US didn't stay in Iraq a while longer?
What are they thinking? That the US will never need the military again? We support the troops, yeh, sure you do as long as they say what you want said, never mind the truth.
What kind of people would vote for these shallow weak minded politicians?

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, then Mayor Giuliani moved the city’s emergency commend center to the WTC. Why would he place the command center is a building they know is a potential target? Does this show good judgment? Did it cost lives on 9/11 because the command center was destroyed?

al-Qaida spent $500,000 on the event, while America, in the incident and its aftermath, lost - according to the lowest estimate - more than $500 billion.

Meaning that every dollar of al-Qaida defeated a million dollars.

A. Failed democracy in Iraq. US is defeated. Terrorists cells still prevailent inside Iraqi borders. Troops withdrawal happens immediatelly. Democrats win 2008 elections by a landslide.

OR

B. Strong democracy in Iraq. US forces weed out majority of terrorists groups and they are on the run. Majority of troops withdrawn immediately. Republicans win 2008 election by a landslide.

You can pick one to happen. Which is it?

Many Americans arrogantly somehow believe and have a strong impression that people from other countries are so very much anxious to come and live in the US because of it's so called democracy, freedom and other nonsense like their country for some reason is best in the world. However people from my country, from other EU countries and from other more or less civilized countries on the contrary believe that there is no democracy nor there any freedom is left in the US As it appears that only some individuals from Mexico and other third world countries want to get in US in order to earn some extra money and to go back home as in their own third world countries income is lower than in the US.

Actually, it is a killing field for our enemies. What better way could we get them?

Iraq is a trap for Al Qaeda. Our mere presence in the heart of the Osama's Caliphate-To-Be draws them like ants to sugar. General Petraeus just reported that

"...in the past 8 months, we have considerably reduced the areas in which Al Qaeda enjoyed sanctuary. We have also neutralized 5 media cells, detained the senior Iraqi leader of Al Qaeda-Iraq, and killed or captured nearly 100 other key leaders and some 2,500 rank-and-file fighters. Al Qaeda is certainly not defeated; however, it is off balance and we are pursuing its leaders and operators aggressively." More on the link...

Syria says

SYRIA AT U.N.

"We think the Israeli purpose behind such an aggressive act is to torpedo the peace process, to torpedo the idea of holding an international conference," Syrian Ambassador Bashar Ja'afari told reporters.

Asked about Hezbollah's weapons, Ja'afari said, "This is blah, blah. This is nonsense, this is an unfounded statement. It is not up to the Israelis or anyone else to assess what we have in Syria."

"There was no target," he added. "They dropped their munitions. They were running away after they were confronted by our air defense."

tobacco use and set emisions laws. Yet these people still drive. I could respect them to a degree if they actually lived in a tent and rode a bike. But they mostly don't. And this is a common view point. The way I see it, these people (often yongens) have been brain-washed by CONSTANT liberal propaganda. Because the message of liberalism is more perfect than of libertarians. But anyone with a brain, knows you can't make the world perfect and even if you can, its no ones right to do it with force.
