I believe it is because they are constantly outsmarted and outwitted by a guy they think is a dimwit: George W. Bush. I also think they're just miserable in general because that's what liberalism does to you.

This was scheduled last year when the surge was put into effect. It was called a SURGE because it was always supposed to be TEMPORARY.

Basically the 15 month tour will be up for the 30,000 soldiers and we don't have another "surge" to replace it. It's like dropping an object and taking credit because the object successfully fell.

But Bush is going to announce it tomorrow like he's doing it due to our "success". Is everyone's memory really that short?

Yes -- a very controversial question. We all know republicans spew propaganda today about how Bill Clinton was so passive against Saddam Husein. Democrats, in the same tone, defend him, saying Saddam was never much of a threat.

I was thinking about this the other day. If good old Bill would have been a little more proactive with Saddam, perhaps there would have been a chain reaction. Perhaps Al Queda would have reconsidered their tact. Perhaps September 11th would have never happened.

What do you all think? I know this is a sensitive subject, and I'm open to your bashing.

They call him a liar because his message is positive and the Democrats can't tolerate any good news when it comes to Iraq or the war on terror. They are so fully invested in and hope for failure in Iraq that they will attack an honorable and decent man like General Petraus simply for telling the truth. It must be painful to be a Democrat and to hope and pray that your country fails and that young soldiers die. I would feel terrible if those were the things that gave me pleasure the way bad news pleases Democrats and good news enrages them. So sad.

I went to a memorial service, watched some 9/11 specials, had a moment of silence, mourned for the victims and their families and I am planning to do to the crash site in Pennsylvania where flight 93 crashed. It is such a sad day indeed and I will never forget it and where I was. What did you do to remember?

What do YOU think about people who say "9/11 was an inside job!" or something.

Sad thing is, in eight decades some people are going to be saying "9/11 never happened - its all a lie!"

I think some people will be offended by this... But I think they're a bunch of pricks. In eight decades, when we're all dead, I hope that everyone acknowledges the tragedy and the consequent wars...

What is your opinion on those conspiracy theorists?
