I think the White House has lost credibility and the control over the Republican Senators. Is the White House losing its power?

every republican senators are jumping from his ship. They have to if they want to get re-elected

No. As long as there's a war on, the presidency doesn't go "lame duck." The notable exception is Viet Nam, and Johnson went down because he REALLY DID do bad political things that put him in an untenable position.

The ongoing politics of Iraq are in no way similar to Viet Nam, except for the lame attempts to make it that way by the worldwide Left.

Yeah, sure. Lost the support of the Republicans in Congress, sure, sure, whatever. If that were true, how come the Dems won't push for a resolution to withdraw funding from the troops? Because Republican's still want to see victory in Iraq, they were emboldened by Patraeus's report, and even some Democrats recognize the success of the surge. But, feel free to keep dreaming of defeat.

I don,t know obama and Hillary are sure making some bad moves these days,,,lame duck ,ya the republicans could use some super fuel for sure,but Dem,s are roasting on high ,,,lol,,,,chow
