It seems to me they must not be very secure in their viewpoints if they can't handle other opinions. What do you think?

Dstr just asked a question about General Petraeus within the last hour or so in this category. It was blocked. I haven't seen Superpolitics on today, but he was blocking questions yesterday. I find such an unwillingness to actually discuss issues very pathetic.
Anyone who looks at my history of answers knows I am honest, but not nasty. I think the worst I have ever said about someone was that they were talking out of their butt...and to be frank...they were. Let's be honest here...that's pretty tame for Y/A.

Actually, it doesn't bother me that I'm blocked...I just want to call attention to the hypocrisy of the person(s) doing the blocking. I don't want people who haven't been blocked thinking that these guys are so "wise" that NO ONE disagrees with them...when it is the furthest thing from the truth.

Not a bit. I recently blocked everyone - not because I wanted to, but because too many people are f*ing weirdos. People are going through Q & As of those they don't like, and reporting on crap that was several months ago. Plus, people can gang up and get you or your friends tossed. Come on, kids - this **** isn't important!!
But I do have my contact info up, so I'm not unreachable. Still a hypocrite? Probably. I'll be honest - blocking was my last resort. I don't like it at all - I'm not at all ashamed of what I have to say.

I only block people who refuse to reason.
I've never shyed away from opposition, but I only listen to legitimate opposition. Abusers, trolls, spammers I ignore.
