Many Liberals are in fact patriotic. Proof is 911, when 80% of all Americans wanted to extract some revenge for what they saw happen. GW Bush's approval rating was that high as he made the case for war. Now they change their minds, nothing unpatriotic about that, it just shows liberals do not have the courage to stand by their convictions.

Liberals can be patriotic. Patriotism is defined as support for the country. In the case of the United States, a patriot should be someone who defends the constitution, which is the basis for your freedoms.
Liberals, conservatives, and moderates can all drone on about fascism. What they are really saying is that the current administration is circumventing the constitution. Many liberals, conservatives, and moderates would view any sort of laws or actions that go against the constitution as unpatriotic.
Unfortunately, there are many misinformed people who believe patriotism means unwavering support for the government, and what the government does. The original intent of the constitution, or any constitution, is to protect the people from the government.
If you look at the second amendment, it's intent was to allow citizens to bear arms in case they ever needed to overthrow the government. The founding fathers understood the importance to protect the people from the government, which is precisely the reason they second amendment exists.
Anybody who speaks out against an unjust government are not unpatriotic. They are, in fact, true patriots.

Your question makes absolutely no sense.
Cite an example where anyone says racial quotas and income distribution are matters of patriotism.
Those are social issues that have everything to do about the preservation of wealth and priveledge.
It appears this is a salient matter of concern to you. But social elites tend to prosper under fascism and had no qualms about Hitler's rise to power.
Patriotism is supporting the Constitution against all enemies DOMESTIC and foreign - NOT who
has controll of the cornicopia and where the goodies fall. That is a Republican issue.

The Liberal ideology is a theory which holds forth beliefs that have no basis in reality.
They are Advocates of a policy that empowers a strong government to enslave its people with a high tax burden incident to the support of extravagant and unnecessary social programs destructive to both the work ethic among the lower class, and the incentive to innovate and succeed among the working class.
The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.
A democracy will continue to exist up until
the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous
gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority
always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from
the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
collapse over loose fiscal policy

The question is whether patriotism is better shown with quiet flag waving and complete obedience or with open discussion and if need be dissent against policies you feel are in some cases illegal. I would say the latter is closer to what a true Patriot is

In a democracy Patriotism is expressing an opinion and working to make changes.
If all the liberals got removed from this country and we were left with a single opinion, then we would certainly have fascism.

I think to some extent you could almost classify them as more patriotic. Liberals fight for everyone, not just one class. They fight to gain equality. You never see a "liberal" voted into office do you? No, because too many people in this country are too worried about what someone else might think about what they say or how they feel. If our nation is truly one that is FREE, then we need not try to make people like they are less worthy or living their lives or being happy.
---
And excuse my "they" comments as I say this:
Please do NOT group an entire sector of people by certain representatives or extremists or make believe facts.

Of course liberals can be patriotic. Conservatives love to sit around and say liberals aren't patriotic because they disagree with the president and don't support him and because they don't believe in pushing American values and cultural icons in everyone else's faces. But that is a specious argument. Dissent is the highest form of patriotism because it shows that you believe in what this country really stands for-- that you support the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights-- and that you support it enough to hold your leaders accountable when they do not act in accordance with the basic principles upon which this country was founded.

Questioning your government and holding them to letter of the constitution is the most patriotic thing any American can ever do. People drawing erroneous lines in the sand and implying that one side or the other is against America, being so obstinate and disrespectful that it precludes any sort of meaningful dialogue will be the downfall of this nation.

Liberals by definition cannot be fascists. Being a liberal or conservative has nothing to do with being patriotic. Questioning the actions of your government at all time is being patriotic and is what this nation is all about. Do you want to be be like China and just be a drone of your nations leaders? I hope not. This is what you are implying.
Most of the liberal leadership in this country has served in the Military. Less than half of the Conservative leadership has served. What does this tell you?

The day defense contractors and the military industrial complex becomes a none profit organization with public oversight I will be the most patriotic person in America .
When the government no longer records my conversations and goes through my mail I will wave the flag proudly .
When the streets are free from oppressive police units gunning down old ladies in their homes and shooting unarmed black kids down in the streets I will gladly support this nation .
When the government no longer determines that I must purchase insurance on my mortgage and auto mobiles and pay annual fees for hunting and fishing licenses and new tags for my property I will proclaim this a free nation in which people are free from the burdens of an oppressive government .
When education is paid for by the people who have the children and not those who have chosen to limit the number of kids they have so that they can provide for them without making the community pay I will Jump for joy and run through the streets giving praise to the elected officials for their insight and good judgment .
Till then I think things are going badly for all of us .
