I am a screenwriter writing a scene in which a marine needs to keep in touch with somebody during basic training. He keeps his phone hidden on him at all times and gets in trouble for taking calls during training manuevers.

I'm wondering if this is a realistic scenario. Would marines be allowed to cary a phone on them at all times during basic? Are they allowed to make calls only at certain times? What kind of trouble would they get in for taking calls when they shouldn't be?

Please only answer if you have real knowledge and experience. I want to be as acurate as possible.

My older sister wants to be a military journalist but is worried that it's morally wrong. All right, so women aren't Biblically allowed to be in combat and aren't legally allowed to anyway, but who says being a military journalist is wrong? That isn't in the Bible anywhere. I do not enjoy the idea of women being good for nothing except repopulating and getting in the kitchen to making pie for their husbands. Is my sister right, from a Biblical viewpoint?

u no the vietcong nd the iraqi insurgency right now, resisting american redcoats just like the freedom fighters during the american revolution, the question is, if america was attacked by like, the mexican army the same way we attacked iraqis, wouldnt american militiamen do the same stuff as the iraqis and the vietnamese did during there respected wars (vietnam war and operation iraqi "freedom")??

usa does not belong in iraq any more than the british belonged in america. iraq war and vietnam were both american IMPERIALISM. so, again i ask, dont u think iraqi insurgents are FREEDOM FIGHTERS??????

I was thinking about joining up. I hear all the time from people saying "the air force is the easiest of all the military branches. They don't do much unless you're a pilot".

But really, what's the truth to this? What do they do? Are there air force ground teams in iraq?

I am planning on joining the Air Force and I was wondering if you can put where you want to be stationed at in your contract. For example I know a woman who joined and her husband was already in, she was planning on putting in her contract to be stationed at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center at Ramstein, De. Is this possible to do or no.
