Roid Rage. If you take it in order to get bigger then you run the risk of the rage and will not think clearly in a combat operation and get killed or others kill.
They Military tests for steroids the only one they can not test for is HGH type. They will only test you if they have a reason, it cost the military $1,000 to test fot steroids so they do not test often for it.

Steroids are harmful. They destroy the liver and kidneys, weaken the hormone system, and effect the brain in unpredictable ways. And steroid use alone just adds weight, not lean muscle mass. For that you still have to exercise, and deployed troops who go outside the wire have little time to exercise regularly. The ones who would benefit the most would be the ones stuck on the FOB, which would be a waste.
As far as testing, they test for the big three (weed, coke, heroin), but I don't know if they test for steroids outside of the full-time athletes. I do know that several soldiers were busted buying steroids while in Iraq.

Steroids ARE harmful. It's a proven fact. They shrink the male testicles, they erode brain function, and they eventually cause bad health problems. Our military discourages, if not bans their use, and their medical corps will not tolerate their use when found. If an applicant is found to be on them they are told to sign up when they are free of their use.
It sounds from your question as though you approve of their use. If so, as a former military man, I'd encourage you to change your mind. The military does not use them, and won't start to do so.

Thats the problem geek Steroids are harmful they have serious side effects on the user, no two people are the same physically.
They are banned items and will remain banned and yes the military do test for them.
The only reason you are truly asking is that you use them. . . . . come on be a man and admit it. . . . .

First answer is No and the second is Yes. The problem is the side effects they have and those might be lessened but they cannot be negated.
