It's possible, but it's not tolerated, do it long enough, you will be caught.

Possible, yes. Smart, no. Random Urine Analysis is not so random. After returning from leave, or pass you will more than likely be screened. I was in a Unit that screened three people from each platoon in the battalion. It really comes down to what unit you are in and how much you are willing to lose. If you alert your commander before a test that you have a problem he will piss you and then send you to (for the Army) Army Substance Abuse Program. There is a mandatory monthly 10% and a once a year 100%. Also at MEPS they screen you. I know "guys" that went to MEPS and did not screen hot even though they had just smoked like a week prior, but "they" didn't know wether it was because MEPS did not screen their piss or because of the "substances" "they" took to pass.
Over all don't do it because it is not worth the punishment, they will make your life a daily hell if caught.

Hey, that's a great idea, dude. Get stoned then go out on a combat patrol with your squad. Maybe you can help get your buddies wasted because your head was too f*cked up to notice that ambush about to be sprung.

I don't know about the "modern" military, but in 'Nam if one of our guys toked up before heading for Indian country we'd tie the sucker to a tree and leave him. Pick him up on the way back and show him the delights of a GI party.

Of course it is. But there are the random piss tests. Also, simple possession is punishable by up to 5 years in prison, forfeiture of all rank and pay, and a dishonorable/bad conduct discharge.

Also remember that a courts martial in the military = a FEDERAL conviction.

Not worth the effort in my book.

Yes you could, but why waste your military career on such a childish, stupid, retarded act. If you need weed then you should got get help and not join the military. I don't want to be in a fox hole with a pot head!! Oh, bye the way, it will not take them long to catch you, send you to jail, take you pay, and boot you out with a DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE!!

its possible but if you get caught you will be in a whole world of sh*t. i mean just being caught with alittle bit of weed outside of the military could give u a day in jail. times that punishment by 100 and thats the militarys standards. they dont want druggys they want soldiers and men who can make proper decisions

It's possible, but you will get caught!! They randomly P test, and eventually your number will come up. Plus, if you took an oath, and part of that was not doing illegal/illicit drugs, I wouldn't want you working next to me. Shows me you have NO integrity.

Just get caught and see where your career goes. You will get a reduction in rank, $750 missing from your pay and 45 days extra duty(article15). Then you will have to go to drug prevention classes and will be barred from promotion for about two years. Plus everyone will treat you like a dirt bag for a very long time.

Sure it's possible, if you don't like your career choice and would like a dishonorable discharge to follow you where ever you go. And a hint about random UA's, you magically get chosen if you take leave for at least 30 days or close to it.
