ok here is the correct answer, for army ROTC. you are taught basic training skills all through rotc, during the class time and once a week at lab. you DO NOT have to go to basic training. Army rotc cadets go to a school called LDAC, leadership development and accessions course. this is 6 weeks long. At that camp you do much of the same things as at basic, however you already know a lot of the little things, so they skip over that stuff. This school also focuses a lot more on leadership, you will be evaluated on it, and have to pass several leadership positions in garrison and in the field. This course is done normally between junior and senior year, however it is possible to get it waved until after senior year and then commission at the end of it.

After commissioning their are 2 more schools you attend before going to you first assignment. The first is BOLC 2, basic officer leaders course 2. (BOLC 1 being your commissioning source, rotc, west point, green to gold, ect.)
at this school you learn basic infantry skills, some current things for Iraq and agan you are evaluated on leadership positions. this course is 7 weeks long. and yes this course does exist, it is about 2 years old so most people have never heard of it.

After BOLC 2 you go to BOLC 3, also called OBC (officer basic course) This course is specific to your job. It ranges from 9 weeks to 21 weeks, depending upon your branch, average is 11 weeks.

If you are in ROTC you will take a form of Basic Training in addition to the drill and ceremonies you learn during the year. I seem to recall that the Basic Training part is broken into two four week summer camps.

No, you do not go to Basic Training. You will have to complete summer camps after you contract (last two years) and some of the skills learned therein will be similar to those taught in Basic. Upon commissioning, you will go to the Officer Basic Course for your assigned branch. This is nothing at all like Basic Training, in that you will be learning branch specific skills (more like AIT for officers...and moreso because you really won't learn your job until you get to your first unit.)

In ROTC you will attend officers basic course. I think it is two weeks in the summer and additional training though out the year.

No, ROTC is precisely the thank you to earn a value interior the militia. It has not something to do with regulation enforcement. MPs don't have the toughest pastime interior the militia. it incredibly is their way of managing being POGs. Ever heard of the watered-down term "blue falcon"?
