I was too late to apply for the Naval Academy, so I might just go to a city college here in NYC. Can I take a year of those courses, then transfer to the Naval Academy?

What are some of the qualifications also?

sure.. but regardless you will still do FOUR FULL years in Annapolis.

No, you can't transfer to the naval Academy. You would have to apply for admission and if successful be admitted as a Plebe-Freshman. The year of college elsewhere might improve your chances of being accepted. Good luck---

Yes. You can. I noted that one of the star players on this year's Navy football team had done two years at a university in Georgia before transferring to Annapolis.

Yes. You can apply at any time before you turn 23.
