I'm currently in the Air Force, and would like to know something that I had been educated on previously but have forgotten specific UCMJ citations, etc:

After research I had become very sympathetic to the Burmese campaign for a recognized democracy. My question is whether I could on base or otherwise wear a Free Burma shirt w/o punitive repercussions? And if there are, which Article(s) address this for m y future reference?

Thanks

she can't join the Army because she is a single mother but yet a man who has kids and isnt married CAN join the Army? What is the difference? I KNOW a guy in the army that has a son and isnt married to the mom--he isnt even WITH the mother of his son anymore and hasnt been since she was pregnant.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
— John McCrae

I read a book on the Civil War and found out women where spies but not soldiers in the Civil War. I asked her maybe because Women reproduce and usually where needed to weave or cook or be a Mom. But another boy told me (I don't know who that kid was) women aren't as strong as men. I don't agree with what he had told me but i would like get a good answer.

Which jet fighter is the best? Your favourite? Mine will be F-22. The Eurofighter's design is not so nice, like a bamboo with a delta wings, but it's a great fighter!

have u heard of these dudes? actully, there was some girls there too, including an actress!! there was on black guy, who was i think the leader. they were around during the 1970's i think, and they were a revolutionary gorilla group who robbed banks to bring down the fascist goverment.

what do u think of them and their goal to make things chaotic? for u old people out there, do u remember them in the news or anything? what do u think inspires these groups to show up? is it poverty, police brutability, or something like that? maybe theyre parents brought them up with anarchist views?

My son thinks you deserve his for sure, and he's only 10.
Today, as part of our commemoration of Veteran's Day, we had a BBQ, as a lot of Americans do, but my son didn't want to eat his coleslaw (he's finicky), so I told him, "if you don't eat it, I'm going to tell the Vets on you."

He jumped to attention and said, "Okay, nevermind, I'll eat it."

He ate it all, and I made sure to give him a big scoop!

See, after all you Ladies and Gentlemen have done for our country, you still have the same effect of respect as Veterans, even in the young, who have never seen the pains of war.

We are grateful to you, for everything, but you get a little added extra today for making my son eat his veges!

Have a terriffic Day, and thank you all.

PS This is a true story, and I'm still laughing about it!

My boyfriend is considering joining the Navy. He is 26 and has a communications degree so he thinks he would be an officer. He doesn't know what kind of job he would do. What should he expect? What are the good and (especially) the bad aspects of being in the Navy? Will he be gone often? And most importantly- is being on a ship in the Navy a dangerous situation? Any opnions would be really appreciated as he doesn't think he could trust a recruiter to give him honest answers and he doesn't know anybody in the Navy. Thanks!!

I was told that when I get to MEPS for the Air Force, I will have to choose five jobs, and they will give me one of the five after I've already signed the contract. I do not want to join unless I get the one particular job I want. Is the Air Force just trying to trick me into doing a job THEY want me to do. Has anyone ever signed there contract at MEPS that said that they were specifically getting the MOS they wanted? I just want to know if anyone has ever made the Air Force liasions at MEPS budge from their "procedure" and go ahead and sign them for there desired job. Thanks.

I was just wondering whether anyone thinks whatever progress we've made in Iraq is worth the number of American Soldiers who have been killed or injured.

Also, if we end up "winning" the war*, is the victory worth the price paid?

*whatever winning might mean

i was in the marines for four. i got out on 04. to this day, i wonder about goin back in. today is just a reminder of how much i miss it and how proud i was. i was proud even when i was in iraq. i cant say i want to go back to iraq, but i still have that feeling to go back in. im sure i could change my m.o.s. i think about the pros and cons. i cant think of any strong reasons i shouldnt go back. finacially it was great. mentally it was great. yeah you have to deal with the bull ****, but you have your brothers to go through it with you. out here, youre on your own. no loyalty. your always taying fit. your taken care of. your kids are taken care of. benefits. most of all, i was proud. i dont find any pride in any jobs ive worked since then. i started working on my tattoo career but, im sure i can do that while im in. the school i want to go to is a film school in l.a. that is a year long. so what should i do. just some opinions.
