Bases aren't deployed; units are. Fort Huachuca is a small post used primarily for intelligence school for all branches of the military; most of the units there are training units for servicemembers still in AIT (advanced individual training)--they're not permanent party yet, nor will be until they're sent to their first actual duty stations. Soldiers actually STATIONED at Ft. Huachuca are there mostly in some sort of support role for the units of new soldiers being trained, with a few exceptions. Either way, as far as permanent party units go, there's no such thing as a "non-deployable unit", regardless of the echelon (tactical, strategic, operational). If the need is there, the unit can deploy.

It would not snow there such as you think of of it snowing, inspite of the undeniable fact that it has snowed there earlier. I fairly have lived in Arizona because of the fact i become born, and that i've got seen it snow interior the desolate tract some circumstances. additionally, human beings interior the protection stress are not immediately voters. She'd be taking a threat if she went to Puerto Rico. With all the subject concerns occurring approximately immigration, she better no longer threat it.

Uhhh...."we don't know if we wanna go or not?" You're new, aren't you. If your fiance (I'm assuming it's male) is in the Army, "They" will send him wherever they want, and he doesn't really have much choice in the matter. I personally loved Huachuca, it's beautiful, near Tombstone, and I only spent 8 months deployed out of 2 years in my non-deployable unit. I would recommend you go to Family Support Group meetings, so you don't get mad at him when he "chooses to spend a night out on CQ rather than go to dinner with me" like I heard one of my friends' wives say. ;) Good luck.

You can still get deployed at Ft Huachuca. Ft Huachuca mos. def. does not have the deployment rate of places like Ft Drum, Stewart or Hood. But non the less they still deploy.

That is a TRADOC post- part of the Training and Doctrine Command, so while every soldier has the potential to be deployed, the chances are less likely while assigned to a TRADOC post, especially if in a cadre position.

There is no "undeployable bases". There are a few MOS's that don't deploy (recruiters, drill instructors). Everyone else is fair game.
