why, are americans worrying about illegal immigrants when they should be worrying about the war and were all the money is going because the war is costing more money for the tax payer then any other issue more soldiers die and nothing is being done in iraq actually nothing was ever done in iraq only more soldiers dead americans dont see that the people in iraq hate the americans and just as americans criticize illegal immigrants being in america the people in iraq feel the same way for the americans because the people in iraq say that americans are invading their country and they dont like it that's why more americans die over in iraq and i think that all americans should open their eyes and stop arguing about stupid stuff and look at the reality about the war and the economy that is going down the drain.

create stronger, faster, smarter soldiers, so that we could have a military of no comparison to any other, a military force of tremendous power and discipline, an unstoppable force of god like soldiers.

ok. my boy's a marine and he told me something that is kinda hard for me to comprehend (just kinda hard for me to believe this idea). anyways, basically he said that since the USMC is the only branch that is directly controled by the POTUS (prez of the us) what bush did to start war after he was denied permission of war from congress was to rush in the marines. after the marines were sent in, the us had no choice but to follow through and the whole war and iraqi freedom thing. is this true (the whole marines under direct control of potus thing). if so, do you think the marines should join the rest of the branches and be unaccessable for the potus to utilize until approval from congress?

INTELLECTUAL responses welcome.

What does everyone think about the removal of more British troops by Gordon Brown from Iraq? This will reduce the British presence in Iraq to half of what it is now. How will the American troops cope without the support from allied forces. 1,000 British troops will be returning home in the next few months. A further 2,000 will leave in early 2008, with the expected removal of a large amount of Australian troops in Iraw "apparently" set for early 2008 as well. What would George Bush be thinking about the war now? This will put a tight squeeze on the war on terror.

question for all you marines out there. what exactly do you do (or... supposed to do) when in your mojave training off in 29? my boyfriend got back from a 5 day training op, got 2 weeks regular duty, then got sent and still is in another 10 day training ops, will get another 2 weeks of regular schedual, then will head off to 29 palms for mojave viper. i would ask him what it's all about but i don't wanna wait for him to come back to find out the answer. :P all i know is that he's done it before and finds it completely useless to be trucked over there again.

I highly respect the US military but what is it with the leaders these days. I don't care the politics of anyone but all you hear about the last few years is generals going after generals and telling plans or pointing out weaknesses in policy or military leadership whom by the way are suppose to call the bulk of the shots in a war or conflict. I understand that Rumsfield probably had a lot to do with it wanting to limit the size of the force but still I have to ask who taught the leadership strategy or loyalty or just not to share information that could help the enemy or demoralize the troops? I mean who came up and again I understand having a small force in the middle east & only 1/3 of it really combat troops but who invades a town or city just to turn around and leave? Common sense should tell you to take the town or city hold it tell you have it secured but reinforcements before moving on. In and out policy is why we are where we are today. Fast isn't always better.
