I was wondering, why the government doesnt just make it that Reservists who have to take huge pay cuts, when they come to active duties just make it that they will be paid no less then what they made in civilian duty. It would be fair, and you would get alot less hardship. I think the military can afford it, you have a quarter trillion dollar budget.

I was wondering in Iraq and in warefare in general are Iraqi civilians more expendable then Americans? When it really comes down to it, if there were a high value target, and it was required to bomb the area, bt the result would be hundreads of civilian deaths, would Americans be more willing to bomb if there are Iraqi civilians or American civilians?

They could never secure the borders of the country they were fighting in so enemy supplies/troops pored in?

With Iraq it's Iran & Syria. With Vietnam it was Laos & Cambodia. How can you win a war win when the enemy never runs out of supplies/troops?

Observing that country's strategic position and coasts, there wasn't , in any time of her history, a danger of the seaborne invasion. She is by nature a pure land force and if she only redirects her money from navy into land forces that could have some effect on the eternal problem of modernising her forces.

Through history she was a multi religious and national empire and as always is the case with those states, stability and peace are no.1 agenda. They need grand state and/or religious aparatus to control their subjects and that always hinders innovative spirit and tehnological progress. Look at UK, USA , Germany. They are a innovative countries that haven't experienced the problems of Russia. Protestant countries are the cradle of capitalism and western technology after all.

Just wondering, not advocating any war of any sort.

I can only assume that the pentagon, (being one of the most secured places in the world) has a ton of cameras placed inside, outside, and everywhere around it. We've all seen the planes hitting the WTC, in videos shot by amateurs. But zero of the plane that hit the pentagon.

Do you think the reason there isn't any armed revolts in the US is because on some level all people in the US are content with living there? Or do you think the US is just good at controlling it's people?

Hi. I am 16 and i'm a High School Sophomore (10th grade). I've been dreaming of being a pilot in USAF (Fighter if possible). But i heard the requirement is to have a good 20/20 eye vision. Unfortunately I don't :(

My left eye is normal but my right eye definitely is not good. I don't know what's my right eye problem exactly is cuz I havent go to the doctor and check it out yet. But it's definitely not 20/20.

I heard that even if you dont have 20/20 eye vision but u can still have it fixed by Surgery or some kinda Laser Surgery and still qualified to be a pilot. Is that true?

I really need lots of advice in this area at this point so I know what I should do in my High School years.

Thank you!

There was the claim that we didn't know until the second tower was hit, but for 15 minutes or so, somebody knew about all the cell phone calls made from the air. Can someone show me an example of any other tower that pulverized from a pancake collapse or give a historical example of any plane in history that took a high rise to the ground by crashing into it?

JERUSALEM (AFP) - Israeli President Shimon Peres launched a blistering attack on arch-foe Iran on Monday, calling the Islamic republic "the centre of global terror" aiming to dupe the world on its nuclear programme.
"The leading government nurturing terror and financing it with money and weapons is Iran, with (President Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad at its head," Peres told the opening of parliament's winter session.
