Germany should have been invaded as soon as it started to rearm but the liberals (pro-socialists) and German descendants fought against that (sounds like the liberals and arab apologists today with respect to Iraq today). At the time, the French army was strong enough to do the job itself but, true to form, it backed off until it was too late. Again, that sounds like today. The British had, and still have, the courage to stand up for what is right. America was divided by the isolationists who stuck their heads in the sand (trade "isolationist" for "liberal" and you have the same situation today).

The big difference between then and now is that now we face guerrilla groups that have, or will have in the near future, biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons that they will happily use against infidels (translation: non-moslems) with no hesitation if they are not stamped onto the ground wherever and whenever they are found.

The US military should have been better prepared equipment wise. Most of their weapons where outdated, they did not have enough ammo stock piled. They also did not have a military large enough to stop an attack.

We have a miltary that is the strongest in the world to prevent attacks. We have the latest weapons and enough ammo so we do not have to worry about running out.

Should've, could've and didn't- are all speculative. It's history. What was done was done and can't be undone unless, you have a Delorean, a flux capacitor and room to reach 88 miles per hour.

All we can do now is look at the past for examples and listen to those that are here now.
