I wasnt breathlyized nor arrested, and only recived court cost, I paid some, but lost work, and havent paid in about two years, a matter I hope the army can help me resolve as it is my only offense. Also, do ppl with GEDS get bonuses? Furthermore, I completly lack mathmatical skill, but ace the english/reading comprehension on every practice test, my recruiter didnt say much about my unpaid fine, and is still going through the motions with me(Im going in tomorrow to get tutored in math) and am going to meps on thursday, I have been completly honest with him, and he has with me also, would he bother wasting his time if he thought I hadnt a chance? And with the lack of math, and excellent english, will that qualify me for any decent jobs? It doesnt really matter which one I qualify for, either way I am going to do all I can to serve this country and to better myself, so, OPINIONS PLEASE!! Thank you, and yes I realize this paragraph isnt very linguistic, but eh? lol

i have been brought up in the 60's and 70'. i'm looking at vh1 classic about john lennon and saw again the protest . on the vietnam war. i believe in freedom. when the planes hit us i sat down crying and thought, this is going to be another vietnam. i stand and say that we need to stop and bring our troops home and see what iraq can do for themselves. if they need our help they can ask and we can help if it is for a right cause. we did in iraq what our president wanted. now we need to go after the ones that came to our country and distrouyed our peaple. don't get mad at me. i just want to know what you have to say!

I'm a 22 year-old male, and am thinking of joining the U.S. Army. I have a question, more of a concern, though. Supposedly I pass through all the training and qualifications, and get "accepted" and into the program. I'm sure an 18 year-old can also join. So, is it possible that I may have a platoon leader who's younger than me? I dunno. That's kinda humiliating, a 22 year-old having to listen to a 18 or 19 year-old, if not younger!

I'd like to get copies of the service records of my great great grandfather who served in WW1 in the Russian Imperial Army. After reporting for duty, he was sent to the German Front. He wrote one letter to his wife (my great great grandmother). After that he disapeared, never to be heard from again. One generation later there is a family story that my great grandfather (his son) was living in Petrorad. He was a Party Member and happened to run into a man from his village who served with his father. The other man said that my great great grandfather and this man said a Jewish Prayer commonly said when one feels he is close to death, left the trenches and ran towards the German line. Everything became choatic and the man said when it was over, bodies were everywhere and he never saw him again. He was unable to confirm if he died and the man was just glad to have survived himself.

I wonder does God support the war in Iraq or any war for that matter. In war time people are killed for things like oil, greed, wanting to conquer new lands, power and control and many other ridicilous reason. All things God opposes God doesn't mind a war that is fighting in his name. But the war were in now has absolutely nothing to do with that. Do you think He is displeased? And even with our government has a whole?

In detail could someone explain who the superior between the Navy Seals and Marine Force Recons/Battallion Marines. I have read up and found that both training is similiar except Seals are highly training in swimming and Recons; reconnaissance. Post your opinion on all special forces if you want but I'm more interested in the Seals/Marines.

My friend got raped by a man who is in the marines. He told her she wouldn't get an STD because he gets routinely checked and tested because he's in the military. Is this true or was he just feeding her a line? And if it is true, how often do they get tested? Thank you.

Should we heed the advice of the people in other countries who have been telling us for 60 years to go home? Should we reject the dangerous idea that it is possible to spread "democracy" by the sword? Should we return to Isolationism?

You Ain't Gonna Like Losing!
President Bush did make a bad mistake in the war on terrorism. But the mistake was not his decision to go to war in Iraq .Bush's mistake came in his belief that this country is the same one his father fought for in WWII.
It is not.
Back then, they had just come out of a vicious depression. The country was steeled by the hardship of that depression, but they still believed fervently in this country. They knew that the people had elected their leaders, so it was the people's duty to back those leaders.
Therefore, when the war broke out the people came together, rallied behind, and stuck with their leaders, whether they had voted for them or not or whether the war was going badly or not. And war was just as distasteful and the anguish just as great then as it is today. Often there were more casualties in one day in WWII than we have had in the entire Iraq war. But that did not matter. (see the rest at my home page, plz.)
