How the heck would a bug juice machine cavitate? It does not have a centrifical pump, so there is no impeller to cavitate.

However, it is right to either fill the machine or turn it off. If there is no fluid for the pump, it will become air-bound and burn up.

I am going to knit a new sweater for Salty. I will use the finest Angora Hamster wool. As far as cavitating the bug juice, try vodka instead. Vodka Sir, vodka! If this was a bug powder question I may have been of more help.
Hope this helps,

Of course. Cavitation is bad for the pump and a shortage of bug juice makes for grumpy sailors. Way to go!

better question is: how much coffee is in the Chief's mess?! Run out of coffee there, and even the CO trembles.
