Sweden and Spain like Switzerland took looted money from the Nazis and it is still in their banks, Spain and Portugal and to a lesser extent also provided havens for fleeing Nazi's after the war although of course no where near as many of these went through these countries as are no in top positions in American and British government.

Sweden stayed neutral, sold copper and other resources to Nazi Germany thro WW2. Britain considered invading it through Norway but failed.
Portugal was neutral and busy being ready against fascist Franco's Spain (which cunningly stayed neutral despite offers from both the Axis and Allies to join them.)

All three of them were 'nutrual' and I put it in inverted commas
because their nutruality, with varying degrees for each one of them, was strongly in favour of Germany...so was Turky...Spain(Franco) sent one division to assist the Germans in the eastern front and that division(Blue Division) was placed in the Leningrad front(The Spanished alleged that it consisted of
volunteers...!) Sweeden played a very decisive part in the German war effort because it was the sole exporter of iron ore to Germany and generated the entire german war production effort. Both Spain and Portugal were the back door
entrance to Europe for vital imports to Germany thus breaking
the British naval blockade...

Spain was too busy recovering from their civil war 1936-39 and getting accostomed to the fact they then had to live under a dictator to get involved in WW2.......many millions were killed (executed for their beliefs) or starved ......and thousands just disapeared never to be found.Hitler never tried to invade Spain because he knew better than to mess with Franco.Portugal if i believe correctly also had a dictator.

Supposedly neutral but I do believe each of them had an unhealthy association with the germans during the war. I feel they were more friendly to the Nazis than to the Allies.

They were all neutral countries.

As such they all represented escape routes for stranded military personnel and the few Jews who were able to escape from Europe once the Germans had invaded.
